DO NOT GO HERE!! Just went here and have done over 50+ escape rooms and the Atlantis escape room was one of the worst ones. A puzzle in the first room was broken and the staff had to come in and physically write a word on it (didn’t stop our time). There is a puzzle in the first room that you are supposed to just guess what it is, no context clues in the room on what it should be and we didn’t even complete the puzzle and all of a sudden the puzzle opened without us finishing it. 2nd room, we had a puzzle complete, nothing happened, after changing literally nothing, again, all of a sudden something opens. There’s a puzzle above the door with ZERO instructions or meaning. When asking for a clue they just kept talking over when we asked for a question. When we reached out to the escape room to explain the experience we were told “we stick up for our employees” and “nothing was wrong with the room” except a staff literally came in to write on a puzzle… Have done over 50+ escape rooms and the unprofessional response in the email and horrible room definitely isn’t a norm. AVOID THIS PLACE! UPDATE: As you can see by the owner’s response, reading comprehension is clearly not a strong suit of the business. Explaining how an escape room to people that have done over 50 of them is about as needed as the rudeness of their email. The piece in the first room was WHITE and the staff member came in after a few minutes of hearing us talk about why there were two WHITES and wrote YELLOW on it, and didn’t stop the clock at any point, so yes, this did impact the time of our room, maybe re-watch the video. We asked for hints because we did the wheel in the second room correctly and the hint was just a worker talking over us as we asked why it wasn’t working. We ended up not moving the wheel at all and all of a sudden the piece opens up. I’ll say it again SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Biggest waste of money on an escape room. If you read all the negative reviews they all say the same thing. Already posting this on all the escape room pages to let them know how horrible this place and the...
Read moreWe are escape room junkies, and PANIQ provides some of the BEST escape room experiences we have ever had. Top notch! Highly recommend!!! Extremely immersive rooms, authentic props and decor, uniquely creative puzzles, even the ambient sound in the rooms is amazing. The game designers' attention to detail is super impressive. Four of us did Medieval Madness a few months ago (super creepy, which we LOVE), and two of us just did Zombie last night (intense and heart pounding as it progressed). Solved them both, barely with minutes to spare (yes, I'm bragging!!) Absolutely LOVED then both. We have our eye on Atlantis next.
Please read this: they have a FANTASTIC, HELPFUL STAFF. (I swear, I do not work for the company, and I am not affiliated with anyone employed there.) Escape rooms are MANNED EXPERIENCES. Someone is always there with you (behind the scenes, of course) helping you with hints and clues, cleaning the room and resetting the chaotic mess WE AS CUSTOMERS make over the course of the hour, and making sure the whole thing goes as designed. Without a crew that is trained and that cares about the guest experience, you have nothing. We've been to more than a dozen locations, probably close to 20 rooms all over NJ and PA, and this crew is some of the best we've met. THEY are the ones making sure your experience is smooth and fun. THEY TAKE CARE OF YOU... DO THE $$$AME FOR THEM. Please make sure to tip these cats at the end of your visit. They deserve it, they've earned it. They are critical to the experience. Show them some love.
Truly can't wait to do another room here!!! I'll be sure to review again!!!
Thanks...
Read morePanIQ Escape Room Atlantic City is a good time, particularly for folks newer to escape rooms. My wife and I have done over 100 escape experiences, and I can say that these rooms were fun, but not without their flaws. We did Cartel Crackdown first with just the two of us. The puzzles were quite linear, but there was enough to keep us busy and working through things for the duration of the room. There were a couple things that needed some explanation from the game master to understand how the puzzle actually worked as the technology wasn't the most intuitive, but we got through and had a good time with it. Then we were joined by 4 friends to tackle Atlantis Rising. I do not recommend taking 6 people into that room - probably 4 at most. First of all, there were some puzzles that just didn't work, even though we had the (confirmed) correct solution. There's also a couple puzzles that involve sound, and as anyone who's ever been in an escape room with a bigger group would know, those can be really hard to even notice when everyone is moving around and calling things out. The theming was pretty good, and we got out of the room with time to spare, but it just wasn't a great experience. I think we would've had a better time doing Atlantis with 2 people and taking the group of 6 to Cartel. Still, having done so many rooms in many different places, this was still a good experience overall with engaged and friendly game masters and good...
