Oh My God ! what a horrible experience. I went to the Auburn Hills store, and the staff was friendly, but that's where the good experience ended. I bought an 85 ' Fire TV paid to have it delivered, paid to have it installed. went back a week later and bought a sound system to be installed with the tv. got a call on the delivery date ( 2 weeks from when I purchased ) to come install the sound bar way earlier than appointment time, I was geeked, but the tech was only installing the sound bar. I told him the tv was not here yet. come to find out, this tech was from another company and wasn't aware of the delivery details and had no idea what was going on. I called customer service and was on hold for over 45 minutes and did not get thru, so I went thru another bot, and finally got a live person who told me the delivery was not taking place, I told her I have 4 text messages confirming today being the delivery date, and an email, and the date is posted on my receipt. She tells me it has been canceled, and sends me to another division, this person tells me it will be delivered today and not to worry. so at 3 PM and no tv I call again to be told there would be no delivery until the 19th now. no reason, just it won't be delivered. but get this I get a text message giving me a new delivery date for the tv ( the 19th) but I was still going to get my sound bar installed today on the 14th, I have this in writing. so I start another chat, and this time when I point out the delivery disconnect dates and asked who the idiot was who scheduled that, I get a text telling me that if I continue to use " that " kind of language the person would stop the chat. so I tell that person go ahead, I can buy this on amazon and they will deliver and install just like best buy, so then the conversation changes to let me put you in touch with the people that schedule, then all I heard was I can't, I can't, I can't.... so ya i will go in the morning get my money back and buy a tv right from amazon and put 2 K in their pocket. if you have to call best buy and want to speak to the store forget it........ you will get an AI generated response, a " virtual " assistant, or some one out of the country you cannot understand, and really can't do anything for you. Honestly, for a technology company they...
Read moreI was searching for a video game online, found the one i wanted. The site suggested i order online and pick up in store the same day. Cool. I ordered at 11:45 A.M.. I Call at 2 pm ( on my lunch break ) and verify that they do have my order and what not. I speak to a chick who says "the warehouse hasn't picked your order yet, give us about another hour". I explained to her t hat I am on my lunch break, I cant wait another hour and I am not driving out here in rush hour. its one video game, should be that hard. then she proceeds to say she isnt sure they even have the game in stock..a quick second later she says they do, it just not picked yet. So i tell her I am on my way, and that ill go pick it if i have to. I arrive at 2:10 pm..and same thing. I am told that its not ready yet, i should've waited for the email to let me know my order was ready. I explained I understand that, but its been almost 3 hours at this point (now its 2:30pm). So they tell me to hold while they continue to find this game..they come back and say they don't have it in stock. So Now i am pissed at this point. I said that's fine, but you have already taken the money off of my debit card, you can cancel the order, but i am not waiting X amount of business days for my funds to be available. so i requested a cash refund. the manager 9 and i use this term VERY lightly) proceeds to say he cant do that..and that it should be released immediately. I question his knowledge, because at this point i know they will tell me anything to get me out of here..so the "manager" says "yes, as i just said.." and says it with a demeaning tone. Like I am a moron. They Provided me with 0 customer service, just a big run around and waste of my time. I can honestly say i will never be a best buy customer again. They do not have anything that i cant buy somewhere else for far cheaper. If you made it this far, Congrats. If you are affiliated with Best Buy, suggest to your team mates to learn customer service etiquette and hopefully this will be a learning experience for the company, because it...
Read moreBest Buy in Auburn Hills, MI, the retail side, is 5-Star. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The Geek Squad side, at that same Auburn Hills, MI location, however, 1-Star. I went to Geek Squad specifically for their assistance in a hardware matter I assumed they could help me figure out, and I made it clear I wanted to purchase those items that day while I was there, but I was made to feel I was inconveniencing them. To start, an older tech made me feel I was interrupting his lunch. Then he wanted to know what I needed. No "How may I help you today?" but more like "I'm busy, what do you want?" Mind you, there was one customer working with a tech and one customer in line ahead of me. That was it. He asked if I made an appointment. I told him I did not. HE ROLLED HIS EYES and wanted to know what I needed. I explained and he didn't understand. I explained again and he wanted to know why I wanted to do what I wanted to do. It wasn't a necessary part of the conversation but I explained, hoping to shed some insight but he repeated "Why would you want to do that?" I finally asked him if there was another tech I could speak with and he told me to take a seat, they were all booked up, and if some time opened up they'll try to work me in, but no promises. He added it could be a few hours. I took a seat and wrote an email to Best Buy Corp, explaining my experience with Geek Squad. This was several weeks ago. No response. I would add that I never had such poor customer service at Geek Squad in Auburn Hills, MI before this encounter with the donut eating middle-aged tech who was too busy watching BATTLEBOTS reruns on YouTube, but thinking this is the direction the company is going in and these are the kind of techs they're using, I'm looking for an alternate source for...
