Of course, a torsion spring always breaks on a weekend...but we called Pop's Garage Door and from the first answer of my phone call, I was treated kindly and like my issue was the most important task they had to handle that day. The voice on the other line was Kayla, she is sweet and sympathetic and friendly. She has a calming tone which, in an obviously stressful situation, is so helpful to the person on the other end. She asked some questions and then asked if she could call me back as she wanted to talk to the supervisor and get his best advice. Within 10 minutes, she called back and said they would be able to fix my door today and could be there between 12:30 and 2:30. She explained they didn't have the spring I mentioned we needed, but let me know the supervisor recommended a heavier duty spring due to the weight of our double door. She said it has to do with IPPT (inch pounds per turn) and couldn't do the explanation justice. The cost I was quoted was impressive as well, you didn't feel like they were overcharging you because it was an emergency and a weekend. We booked it and then we waited. Right after I booked with her, Kayla texted me the explanation of IPPT, which I thought was going the extra mile to let me know what that meant. Around 2:30, Daniel showed up...sweet, magical Daniel. The first thing I noticed was his smile. He's extremely approachable, knowledgeable and friendly. In all honesty, my husband could have done this job on his own - we didn't have to hire anyone, but we decided to have Pop's Garage Door come out since they could do it a little faster and they have all the parts available, just in case something else went wrong. My husband has known and has had on his radar that we needed to repair a few more items on our door, and Daniel was able to do the extras for us while he was here. I was going to ann appointment on Wednesday when my garage door spring broke and slammed the garage door to the floor with a loud band. I tried lifting the door but it was much too heavy to lift. So I set about finding someone to fix the door in a short timeframe so I could get my car out of the garage to pick up my kids from school later in the day. I called Pop’s Garage Door Repair and got someone on an emergency basis. Tal arrived at the scheduled time and promptly investigated the problem and explained fully what had caused the problem and what needed to be done. He set about fixing the door only to find out that he did not have the size spring I needed to replace. However, his wonderful boss told him to use the upgrade spring he did carry for the same price as the standard spring I had. After he replaced the springs he adjusted the necessary parts only to find out a couple parts that were ready to fail. He explained what they were and showed me their condition. I agreed to replacing them so I wouldn’t have to face labor charges to remove the springs and then put them back after replacing parts in the future. Tal was very respectful and very thorough. After he had completed the work, he showed me what he had done and how well the garage door was working with the new springs and adjustments for the opener. He then oiled all the rollers and explained all the places to oil periodically to extend the life of the garage door and and opener. I was very pleased with his patience and detailed explanations. Right from the start they provided professional, compassionate, and honest services and products. Saturday I requested an estimate, and I was contacted and received my quotes on Sunday, Kayla put together two separate estimates with detailed and easy-to-understand options with two doors & openers. Daniel came out on the following day, Monday, to inspect and measure to ensure a proper fit. He is respectful and honest, not like all of the other garage door companies did when they came out. Later that Sunday I was emailed the finalized quote from my choices, and I signed online. Daniel came out the following day, Tuesday to do the work. He arrived early fully prepared and ready to work.

After Daniel finished the double installation he cleaned up the driveway and removed my old wooden doors so I didn't have to. I'm still amazed that Daniel installed everything all by himself and it was completely done with immaculate precision all in one day!
