Parking a car in Austin while working downtown is never an easy task.
This garage is not that great for random travelers - the prices are quite high.
The key aspect of the garage is their monthly plans are 24/7. As an employee working in an office with non standard hours, this is critical for me and prevents me from using many other garages.
That said, I see less incidents here than anywhere else within several city blocks. So prices will continue to increases and a number of companies may slowly be edged out due to larger firms moving into the Cap Tower itself - they seem to have priority on allocated monthly parking, which makes perfect sense.
I'm personally alright with the costs, as it does mean less stress of break ins and other things occurring, plus it's very convenient to my work.
That said, the exit was in disrepair for months and was finally repaired just recently.

Staff were rude and unhelpful, first telling me to get a ticket at another entry (impossible without moving your car to that entry because machine doesn’t work unless a car is by it) and then I ran into the guy who was “resetting the machine” and he was rude and didn’t answer me when I asked for a ticket.
So I paid the lost ticket price of...
