I can see why they are hiring. Our server yenny ( name on receipt , didn’t have a name tag) she had mask, glasses & uneven drawn eyebrows; very rude, unprofessional. Never felt so unwelcomed, disrespected even discriminated. Definitely will be requesting another server or DoorDashing next time. The server passed by us aggressively grabbing the menus, side eyed us to follow there was no “hello how are yall, yall can follow me “ Nothing. Later came to take our drink order I was trying to pronounce one of their teas she walked off. 10 minutes later, I ordered the rest of the appetizer, food and drinks. Would not come to pick up the appetizer plates. Initially we thought she was the only server explaining why we were receiving such service till we saw another server she kindly asked if we needed anything & brought us sriracha. We finished the food we ended up just stacking the appetizer & dinner plates neatly on the side of the table when she came to pick them up didn’t say a word. Food was amazing, if you sit at the right angle you can see the cooks making your food through window . Rice cakes with spicy tuna was a 10/10 truly some of the best ones I’ve had. The noodles with beef and chicken were also good. Our favorite was the spicy chicken liang the flavors were very well combined you could taste the dedication. Chefs kiss. She later asked if we were ready for the check as I was ordering a tiramisu she walked off AGAIN as I was trying to pronounce the egg custard bao. The cherry on the cake was when she brought out the check we were paying with a gift card at this point we were still tipping in cash. The machine was still processing & she saw we had selected no tip she side eyed us AGAIN & said the receipt she would bring out isn’t including tip. At that point we had had enough & left without tipping because it was the audacity for us. Acting like we are blind to not see the good service provided to other tables. As we were leaving she still had the nerve to look at us up & down and say mmm like...
Read more“Xian” in Chinese pin yin if pronounced 1st as 鲜 meaning fresh and savory. And that’s the Chinese symbol that their logo shows. However with the same spelling and pronounced 2nd, it would be 咸, which means salty. And that’s what their braised beef noodle soup tastes like. The service: quickly seated but no one came to take our order. We sit there after 10 minutes then realized we could order by scanning QR code on the wall. Ok, no problem. But it would be better the first person who seated us could just point it out to us. Food: Xian long bao: all 4 collapsed when we opened the cover. When trying to pick up anyone, the bottom was so soggy and it stuck to the tray. No soup if any which should be what XLB is supposed to be. 0-star. Dim sum Chicken feet: it brings a bad name to the same names dish in Authentic Dim sum. See the picture. Tasted like soaked in soybean paste. 0-star. Suggest the owner to take it off the menu. Don’t ruin the name of a good dish in dim sum. Braised beef noodle: supposedly to be their strength. You can really tell it’s made by hand if the noodles were made by machine, should throw it away. Noodles are all different thickness and some even stuck into big lumps. I have had hand pulled noodles and this is not it. Soup tastes on the salty side . The beef portion is good but that’s because they didn’t bother to slice it. See pictures. Two star.
Service: where can I start. Not sure how they can expect to start their tip rate at 20%. Is there no more standard anymore? And where is that water to wash down the salty soup?
Would not recommend anyone who are looking for authentic...
Read moreWe came as a party of 4 with a 2 years old baby. We were not noisy, very polite and we never complaint usually. The waiters, Suri was extremely rude with no reason. First she stay like 5 ft away from the table and was saying that she can’t hear us while taking an order, forcing us to scream, when we asked if they have any specials she said they don’t have specials, we asked about lobster sushis she said they are not special and not good, after she added that all the sushis are pretty bad and the best thing they got is beers. We were kinda shocked , never heard of the response like this. Next she asked if we wanted to get another waiter and we asked for a manager. When manager came she apologized and said that Suri has seizures and that’s why she acts like this. Manager served us but the mood was already kind of different. Food was ok. When we were leaving I came to Suri and asked her name, she was still mean, said her name and acted like she doesn’t care about consequences. Honestly so many people now need jobs and people like Suri should not be taken work places. If I were the manager there I would fire her at the same moment. But she continue working there. Very...
