Yes Chef! — Restaurant in Baltimore

In early March I spent a week in Columbia MD babysitting my two young grandchildren. I wanted to eat well but knew I wouldn’t have much time to cook. I’m so glad I found Yes Chef!! I placed two orders, one to arrive at the beginning and one for the middle of the week. The food was excellent (delicious, fresh, high quality ingredients), easy to heat up, and thoroughly enjoyed by my sister in law and son (each of whom spent time helping me with childcare), my 3 year old granddaughter, and me. Portions are generous and when we had leftovers, the packaging made it easy to save them for another meal. I also love that the packaging is recyclable. Prices are very reasonable, and delivery is free for orders over $75. Their menu includes many options in a range of categories, so there is something for everyone. The people at Yes Chef! are very kind and helpful. When I called with questions ahead of placing my orders, the person I spoke with patiently explained their system to me and wished me well when I told her about my plans with my grandchildren. The delivery driver was great as well. I also found out that this company is involved in helping the local community. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! I just received my first shipment today and I am completely blown away. After having tried 2 other prepared meal services, I can honestly say that this one is completely different. First, the meals arrived fresh. I am not sure if that is because I happen to be local to the service, but it is so different from the other 2 services that arrived in giant environment killing boxes which were packed with Styrofoam. The dates on the meals are clearly marked. The appearance of the meals is beautiful. Second, my husband and I both tried a different meal tonight. His street tacos could have come from a great food truck at a festival and my spinach salad had beautiful strawberries, walnuts and chicken. Third, the meals were under 500 calories and 400 calories respectively, and that is an incredible feat for food that had such taste. Best of all, there was no subscription required! As we prepared for my mother-in-law’s funeral, my husband had no doubt whom we’d ask to cater the repast…Yes-Chef!.

Clint and Jodi are attentive, compassionate and understanding. They were so wonderful to work with us on menu (making suggestions, et al), delivery and presentation. The staff prepared such a great selection, and we received so many compliments on the delicious food. Everything went smoothly!

The hostesses at the church hall were very impressed, and said that Yes-Chef! was the most professional (and sweet) caterer they have worked with on any event.

We thought that it was appropriate that the excess food was able to be donated to the church’s food ministry, which would distribute it to local food kitchens in Baltimore, the city that Yes-Chef! has adopted, and is very involved locally.
