
My experience at the Baltimore location has nothing to do with a quality of the products that they sell and more of the poor customer service. I called this location to verify that they sold clothing for a particular school and the person that I spoke with told me that they in fact, carried clothing for the school that I was inquiring about. I called the store before going because I live 40 minutes away and I did not want to make that drive if they didnāt have what I was looking for. So I get to the store and I was informed that they do not carry any clothing for the school that I called and specifically asked if they had. I then tell the gentleman that someone told me over the phone that they did have clothing for the school that I was looking for in store and he proceeds to tell me that I shouldāve just ordered from the website. The fact that he was so dismissive of a customer wanting to make a purchase in store and possibly try on some clothing to ensure that they get the correct size baffles me. A mistake couldāve been made and the person that I spoke with over the phone probably didnāt know that they did not carry clothing from the school that I was looking for. Thatās fair. The store was nice and plentiful of HBCU gear, I was extremely disappointed to find out that they didn't have my size in many of the items from my alma mater HBCU (2XL or XXL). I mainly wanted to purchase T-shirts but there were none in my size. Spoke with an employee and they stated that a lot of the sizes and more variety of items are on their website. The staff member didn't even make the effort to seek the size I was looking for in the store. I was extremely disappointed that they would not ensure stock of all sizes of the variety of items stocked in the store. In my eyes, it was a wasted trip, and they let money just walk out the door. I did visit the website, but they don't have T-shirt options at all (for men) especially in my size. I'm better off ordering from my alma mater HBCU's bookstore website. When the shirts didnāt arrive on time, I emailed them asking for an update on the order. I got no response. A few days later I received a call stating that they were at homecoming and I could come pick up one of the shirts. First problem is they assumed I was going to homecoming. Second problem is they only had half of my order. Luckily for them I decide to go to homecoming. I pick up the shirt and Iām told the other half of the order would be shipped on Monday when they got back to the store. Monday came and went. No shipping notification. I have emailed, messaged, called, and text every week for over a month! No response. I had a friend go over to the store to see what was going on. A month later they finally tell her they still donāt have the rest of my order. Why not respond and say that?! So I just cancel it at this point. I donāt even want anything else.
