I have been going to this location since 2018. I have had some great experiences at this location, but over the last two years it has taken a downward turn. I needed to freeze my account last fall, due to work. I knew I wouldn’t be able to go as often or at all due to a busy season and I did a 4 month freeze. I was billed for all 4 of those months and when I noticed the billing charges, I went to the location and spoke to SEVERAL staff, even asst managers, but never the manager that could issue that refund to me. They would not give me a contact number or email, so I felt that I was at an impasse. I have since canceled my membership, but when I tell you about the unprofessionalism of this location. I walked in to cancel because I did not know any other way to cancel but to go in person or write a letter but why would I choose snail mail? Anyway, apparently you can cancel when you log into your account on the website - Not the app! Only the website, because that’s super convenient? I walk into this location to no one at the front, a messy counter, and takeout just on the back counter for everyone to see. I finally see the lead employee (I assume) come to the front but she is having her hair braided by someone in the back- they speak about setting up a room in the back for her to get her hair done. I thought that those back rooms were for tanning, massage chairs and beds? She did see me but was eating so didn’t approach me until her friend told her to wait on me. Then when I mentioned I wanted to cancel my membership, she cut me off and quickly said - ‘go on the site and cancel’. I feel like if I knew how to cancel that way, I wouldn’t have bothered to come in and you think she would have understood that. She was very cold and nonchalant and the fact that she couldn’t be bothered to help me because I was disrupting her hair appointment and her eating her takeout, was so crazy. She was terrible and if that’s the standard of the person in charge for this location, you may want to retrain. I have to now find a way to reach out to corporate and get my money back or tag them all over my social. This is absolutely horrible staff and I wish it was better because I used to like going here....

I have been going to this gym for almost three years at first the environment was nice people were friendly or they just minded their business which is also fine. I noticed a high turnover with the front desk employees. I don't know if that was intentional or not however with each new set of employees the gym got worse and worse. They don't greet customers. They are either all in the back or in the front on their phones. You could literally just walk into the gym without a membership since no one really pays attention. I have seen the employees smoking weed outside of the establishment which on your own time is your own business but to be doing it right in front of your work place is unprofessional. After COVID there was a period where they "ran out" of paper towels and had everyone wiping down equipment with the same dirty damp towel.The women's bathroom is always disgusting the handicap stall is always flooded with toilet water on the floor at this point I don't even think they clean the restrooms anymore. There has recently been a influx of unruly teenagers that have been in the gym. I'm not 100% sure but I thought there was a policy against kids under 18 being in the gym alone. Now I'm not quite sure how old all of these kids are however I have personally seen them getting verbally aggressive with some of the regular gym goers. They throw balls and hit each other with gym equipment and the employees say nothing about it. They are a huge distraction and make the gym a now unpleasant place to be. As someone who pays their money for a service its annoying to have to skip days or switch up my gym time to try to avoid people that don't know how to act. I recently had a disappointing experience at Planet Fitness and I feel compelled to share my concerns. Yesterday, I went to the gym and utilized one of their lockers to store my college bag, which contained my wallet with important documents.Unfortunately, my belongings were stolen from the locker.
When I reported the incident to a staff member at Planet Fitness, I expected a prompt and serious response. However, the response I received was far from satisfactory. The staff member, a lady, took my name and number and brushed off the issue, stating that they couldn’t do anything at that moment. To make matters worse, she quickly moved on to attend to another client, seemingly disregarding the seriousness of the situation. Her lack of empathy and urgency left me feeling ignored and unimportant.
This incident occurred on July 14, 2023, at approximately 8:30 PM on a Friday. It’s deeply concerning that such an incident could happen within the premises of Planet Fitness, a place where customers should feel safe and secure. The fact that the staff member didn’t take immediate action or provide any reassurance or support only adds to my disappointment.
I would strongly encourage Planet Fitness to address this issue and take appropriate measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. It’s essential for the management to emphasize the importance of customer safety and ensure that their staff members are adequately trained to handle such situations with care, empathy, and urgency.
