I took my wedding ring here to get it resized and I would recommend any of my friends or family to seek out Lee Michaels for their jewelry needs! As I was walking in I was warmly greeted by a small group of the Lee Michael's team. The hustle and noise of the mall faded, giving way to an atmosphere that was elegant, but still comfortable enough for a guy in a t-shirt, like myself.

I began working with Jeff to describe what I was looking for. Even though I had no prior experience with jewelry customization, I felt very comfortable and well informed as Jeff walked through the process with me. First he performed a brief but detailed inspection of the ring and began noting things about the ring that stood out to him. He was noticing details I was unaware of, but now appreciate. Having bought the ring from an independent jeweler online and overseas, this was the first time I had the benefit of a professional walkthrough.

Jeff worked to make sure that he understood my concerns about the way it fit, then checked and rechecked the size of my finger. As I went through my naive questions, he carefully listened, and then explained the resizing process with clarity. In particular, I was reassured with how he took notes about the small details that were important to me. We went over timing and next steps and I was able to leave with comfort that my ring was in great hands.

The resizing was finished ahead of schedule and the results were great! When I picked up the ring we reviewed the fit. It seemed fine to me, but since this was the first time I had worn a ring in over 25 years, it was naturally different. Rather than taking the opportunity to dismiss my unfamiliarity prematurely, he explained what to consider when evaluating the fit. Customer education is a factor of service that's easy to to lose sight of, but it's just another precious detail in the Lee Michael's experience, I've learned. I visited this location in the mall of La on Friday 10/4/2024 and requested for my ring to be resized. Firstly, the young lady at the door greeted me and she was very polite. However, both gentleman that were there was not. When I advised the young lady why I came in, she directed me to the gentleman in the back at the counter, in which one gentleman stated to her, very rudely, that he was with a customer. So she apologized to him and got the other man to help. I gave him my ring to request for it to be resize, he then took it and gave it back and advised me they would not be able to resize it. He did not provide any details on why he could not get it resized. I also called before hand to be sure they would be able to. I’m writing this because those men aren’t meant to be the face of any company. They should be in the back with very little to no customer interaction at all. I knew that Lee Michael’s could assist me with what I was requesting, therefore I went to a different location, which was the one on Corporate blvd. Where I was able to get my ring resized. The whole staff at that location was amazing!! They welcomed me with a very warm welcoming and even got my ring back to me in a week! Ted and his team were the best!! I am from Baton Rouge and know the Lee Michaels name well but now live an hour or so away. We were in town for unrelated reasons with no intention of making a final jewelry purchase today but had been generally considering one over the past year. We hesitantly stopped in the store with kids in tow but weren't the best dressed/ didnt give off the best appearance. The reason I say that is sales people in MANY jewelry stores I have visited seem to flock toward the better dressed people they assume have $$. Not here, Ted kindly helped us immediately and took the time to answer all questions. We ended up making a purchase and if not for Ted and his team, and the fact Lee M had exactly what we had been considering, we probably would have waited. Even checking out with the other team members was an overall pleasurable experience.
