I have been eating here since COVID and the food is usually good and service is fast but YESTERDAY I had the worst experience. We ordered beef and broccoli to go and on the way home, the food had the car smelling fowl (like 3 day old cabbage). Once we got home and open the container the smell was so gross and the food was very oily 🤢, I could not eat it. My aunt was so hungry she just added hot sauce and ate some of it. I tasted a itty bitty piece after the hot sauce and was immediately grossed out.
We ended up throwing away 90% because of the smell and the ridiculously amount of oil settling in the container.
Here comes the most DISTURBING part! The only item in our trash was their thrown away food and when we got up today, the trash had our ENTIRE KITCHEN AREA smelling disgustingly fowl (5 day old cabbage) and again it was the only item in our trash can. Sheesh, I literally had to drive this trash with my windows down and dump out at a gas station trash can.
This is awful 888 Chinese. I could have called and complained for my money back, but I prefer to let future customers know my experience.

Read moreCame here after church (3-31-2019). Our church begins earlier than most so we dismiss earlier. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Baytown, Texas. The food is always the same (no surprises) and is affordable. They usually have hometown sports teams' games on the televisions. We had a new server today. Very pleasant, professional. Despite the fact half the restaurant was empty, we felt a bit hurried. We weren't finished with soup when our meals arrived. Our bowls were pushed out of the way while we were holding our spoons. We weren't finished with our meals when we were asked if we wanted take-home containers. Then the check arrived before we could transfer our meals from our plates. This has never happened in all the countless times we've been to 888 Chinese Restaurant. Perhaps the server was brand new to the profession. Perhaps she was told to move customers along. Don't know. It was a tad unsettling to be treated differently today. Will we return? Yes. If the "hurry up" occurs again, we'll say something to the server and manager. Read moreMy husband and I went yesterday and the service was bad. I ordered fried shrimp with the salad and fries, my husband ordered the grilled shrimp with mango and garlic sauce. Well, the waitress brought out his order, told us mine was on its way. My husband finish eating his and nothing of my order was brought to the table, not even the salad. No tea refills, nothing. Then the waitress comes to our table with the ticket, I asked her "and where's my food?" She's stares at me and says she'll bring it out, I told her don't bother just take it out of the ticket. She ran to the kitchen and comes with salad on one hand and shrimp and fries on the other. I told her "I don't want it anymore" she returns to kitchen, comes out and starts talking to cashiers. They took a long time chatting. My husband said for us to just go to the register paid for what the did brought to us and leave. So we go to the register, sure they took off what I had ordered, but nothing else. No apologies, not anything... I just can't believed how inconsiderate they were. Come on, if you make a mistake and forgot about a customer at least...
