Never have Stefanie cut your hair. If this is what she does to a friend, imagine what she will do to you. This is a long one, so buckle up. I went in with hair past my shoulders and came out with my hair butchered. I asked for the pixie cut you see in the photos with the grey hair. I wanted it cut a tad shorter so I could go a couple weeks longer between cuts. I then showed Stefanie the second stock photo, specifically around the ear on the shorter side. I told her I wanted my hair shaped around my ear on that side, similar to the photo, so I didn't have to constantly tuck it behind my ear. She proceed to give me the haircut you see in the other photos. I was in shock and denial when she was done. I still tipped her $100 because I thought it couldn't be as bad as I thought. I had been going to her for years, I was her friend, and I've always tipped $100 or more. There's no way it was that bad. I was wrong. After going to 3 other stylists and a barber, all who told me it's not salvageable, I reached out to Stefanie. She proceeded to tell me that she's sorry I don't like it and that I was talking down to her by complaining. She also said she doesn't know how to do clipper cuts yet that she gave me one. She also mentioned this isn't the worst cut she's ever done. If this isn't her worst, I can't imagine how bad it gets. When I mentioned posting photos in a review with her name attached, she said I was threatening her. She considers it a "threat" to have her name publicly attached to this monstrosity, yet I'm supposed to walk around like this?! No. It took me almost a week to get my money...

You know you have a 5-star stylist when you get stopped multiple times a week by people on the street, asking you who does your cut and color. And this isn’t only women stopping me. Men, too.

I have been going to Michelle for highlights and cuts for years (I actually initially saw her for extensions. When I experienced how talented she was, she immediately became my stylist). What I appreciate about her aside from her amazing talent is her ability to take risks with my hair. I can show her a picture, we talk about it, and we go for it. She will suggest ways to amend the style with my cowlicks or the texture of my hair and I appreciate that so much. I have had every conceivable shade of blonde with her (honey, ash) and every shade of lowlight (warmer brown, ashy brown) and she nails it every time. As for cuts and styles, you can see from the pics below we have honed it on a shorter style for me. Men approach me because Michelle executes a perfect fade on the sides and back of my hair. I was denied service and any chance of making a complaint. Stylist ran late over her previous appointment and front desk tried to make it my fault by falsely changing my appointment time which is convenient since they don’t send the clients appointment confirmation in any form other than verbal. The reasons for my appointment cancellation changed multiple times when I proved for further explanation of being denied service during my allotted 45 mins. Front desk girls wouldn’t let me make a formal complaint with a manager, again reasons were many including they didn’t know who it was.
