This is 100% a true story:
Absolutely brutal experience with this company, and they’ve basically stolen my money!
Here’s how badly they screwed me:
I place an order for a package of multiple large drop front shoe containers and one product that’s similar that opens from the side.
The container store divides this into two shipments. They always pass their shipments off to Borderfree.
I receive one shipment, the large shoe size storage container that opens from the side.
Almost 3 weeks pass after getting the first shipment, and I still haven’t received the other products.
I contact the number in the emails I got from container store. A Sarah answers and basically tells me I have to call borderfree. The number she gives me happens to be the same for container store. Odd. I ask to be transferred instead. She transfers.
THE VERY SAME PERSON responds saying “Hi, this is Sarah from Borderfree.” I ask her if it’s the same one. She says yes. At this point I’m obviously frustrated.
She puts me on a hold that lasts 10 minutes.
Someone else answers and says on their end, it says everything is delivered. This is an outright lie. I don’t have the front drop containers I bought. I got half my package.
I then send an email to Borderfree explaining everything and it got BLOCKED.
The order total was $107.69.

The Container Store stole money from me. I have all the proof on my end of things.
Never ever again am I buying from this scam of a business.
Let this warn all of you—the container store will 100% steal your money then act like they did nothing.

Barb designed my closet and gave me incorrect information about what would fit. Now I'm stuck with an extremely expensive closet that doesn't work. They were unwilling to work with me on a fix, because a year and a half had passed between my initial request for updates (which was ignored by Barb) and my follow-up this week. (I have a chronic illness and was unable to follow-up during that time period.) I have screenshots showing Barb ignored my requests - they still won't work with me to redesign the space to fit my original request. I haven't felt this disrespected as a customer in a very long time. This used to be my favorite store. I'm literally sobbing, as a grown adult, after how they treated me on the phone just now (I was speaking with a lady named Hope who kept insisting that I was enjoying my space and therefore couldn't get my money back). I wish I could take back all the money I've spent there over the years as a long-time loyal customer.
Please, please don't give this store your business.
PS - after looking at other Google reviews, I'm clearly not the only one who feels disrespected by their staff and like my money was stolen. BE CAREFUL....

I ended up purchasing some organizational items and laundry helpers. The laundry sheep were rock hard and stained the first dry cycle. They sounded like a bowling ball in the dryer and did absolutely nothing. I browsed the Pura diffusers and held off after seeing the price. Kohl's had the Disney set for 80% less with 4 refills. The lady convinced me to enter my email address to get a lower price. I asked if I would get unsolicited emails by doing so and she assured me I wouldn't that it was just for the pricing. She turned the card reader and tapped a few things quickly and I was off. Now I'm getting emails constantly even after unsubscribing and marking as spam and blocking.
