I made my appointment over the phone, and was given the option between the high-end stylus which runs over 45 to 50 dollars or or a stylist that costs somewhere between 40 and $50. Not sure high-end stylus could wind up costing you. The lady that cut my hair was friendly I explained my hair Style ,and just an inch or so cut off keeping this style. My hair style is short and easy to style. My hair goes mostly to the right to the right,but I soon realize that she was doing it to the left as I pointed this out to her she smiled, and said I always do this to people. What I consider bangs or forehead is so short that if I'm not careful they stick straight out as I style it. I had to ask her two different times to cut the sides a little shorter and there's still too long. Stylus always ask me would I like my neck shavd? I always say yes, but this time I was so upset about the top of my hair and the sides I forgot, I just wanted out of there. I found out? Upon leaving the cash register doesn't work correctly, after putting my card in two different times trying to pay,and could not get a receipt needing to go to a different department, and finally was given a receipt.J C Penney hair salon got their money and I received a disaster from the beginning to the end. How many people with a certificate or an associate degree make over $50 an hour? Add on to that a 20% tip for a job well done. Not this time. That staff needs retrained or let go because they cant do the simple tasks they should be able to do. Also i attempted to buy a ring for my partner and it was a huge hassle with issues from the staff with sizing her and ring size availability. The staff reccomended i just buy one and see if they can attempt to make it the size we wanted to order. Very unprofessional and rude. The 3 times ive went to this locations jewlrey dept have been bad experiences and the staff will just stand there and not help when your clearly the only one standing there waiting to be helped. Im not sure where management is over who is overseeing these workers but some serious evaluations need to happen and new training needs to take place because now i will no longer be buying anything here or at any other locations and i have made sure all my family knows and they will no longer shop at jcpenny as well. This is sad unprofessional service from a big department store and now will not be getting my and a dozen others business anymore im fed up with it.    Read moreThis review is for the new makeup section. I was very excited to check out the new JCP Beauty and the new makeup/skincare products youâre now carrying. I came in just for this purpose. I greeted the woman working in the makeup section and let her know I was just looking, I found the brand I was excited to look at and as I was kneeling down to view the products on the bottom shelf, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the employee approaching me, I straightened back up as I was bending down before and she was mere inches away from me, just standing behind me hovering over my shoulder. She didnât say a word. Just stood right behind me staring over me. It was extremely unsettling and I donât think Iâve ever been so uncomfortable in my life. I understand making sure people donât steal but I am an almost 30 year old woman, not some shady looking teenager. I laughed in her face and called out her ridiculous behavior and walked out. I will never return here, no one is going to buy anything from this department if she is the one working. She does not even allow you to browse.
