I saw the signs for this place along the high way, looked them up and their website it's beautiful, clean and easy to use. When I got to the restaurant it's outside the mall along the small strip in the mall parking lot next to chewys. They have lovely outside seating and an easy to find door. When you walk in you are greated with a warm and welcoming environment, plenty of seats to sitnin when wsiting for a table also. They have bar seating, booth seating, large and small table seating along with seats that look out their large windows to their patio area. The owner is also around to help the staff when they need it. The wait staff is extremely sweet, fast, and customer orientated. I sat of less then a minute before I had someone at my table. 10/10 would recommend this place just off of the vibes and the people here, but that's not the whole reason you are reading this review. So let's get to the best part, the food!!
For those of you who enjoy a good drink this place has a wonderful alcohol selection, their sunrise mimosa is a 12/10. Not to sweet or sour, you also don't get that alcohol burn, making these amazing but dangerous 😜 They also have unlimited drip coffee, I'm not a big hot coffee drinker most of the time but their coffee was warm, full of flavor and you could tell it was recently made, no burn coffee taste making this a 9/10 I also ordered the chicken and waffles along with the strawberry and basil toast. The strawberry and basil toast oh where to even start, the strawberry's were fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese with honey, pistachio and basil is an amazing combination. Put that all together for a 12/10 meal. The also have a side of greens with a house made vinaigrette. My only complaint is there was a light drizzle of the vinaigrette. I personally would of like more as I enjoy a lot.of dressing, past that it was amazing. Fresh greens, the vinaigrette was light, airy and flavourful. If I wasn't so in love with chicken and waffles this would of been the star of the show for me. Last but certainly not least their chicken and waffles. You get 1 waffle and 2 chicken pieces. The waffles was cooked perfectly, a beautiful crunchy outside while still holding a warm fluffy inside, I honestly don't think my grandmother could of made a waffle to compare to theirs. The chicken it comes with was cooked to a beautiful golden color, crunchy without being to crunchy, juicy and full of flavor. They topped with a wonderful homemade sauce that bring this whole meal together wonderfully. It was brought out as a "taco" folded in half and on a stand. It was cute and they seem to take their time making sure the waffle wasn't broken and that the plate looked wonderful before bringing it out.
If you need a place to bring friends, family, have a first date or just to take your significant other somewhere new and nice or treat yourself I would 100/10 bring them here. This place was everything I was looking for in a brunch place and I hope it will be...
Read moreStopped in for the first time, many servers standing around and talking at the cashier desk. One asked how many for my party, I let them know, not a single one of them offered to seat me. The gentleman in the ElToro shirt asked the ladies after a few minutes if anyone was going to help me. I told him, I can go seat myself, he asked them again, after asking them twice and then still standing, one seated me. It's really sad anyone had to ask them, they have a lot of servers standing around doing nothing. Send some home if they don't want to work. They have one person bussing tables. As many servers as they have, they should be bussing their own tables. As many tables that were open, I expect a server to ask my preference for seating, which was not done. Not everyone wants to be hidden in a corner by a cold door when the 90% of restaurant was empty. The food was good, I subbed fries for the home fries. Probably some of the best fries in town. The sourdough bread was great - not made by them. I had the Roasted, it had one very small pickled pepper. For the price paid, I would expect much more than that. I did get some bakery products to take home. The gentleman at the bakery products was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Back to the cashier, I wanted to pay my lunch and bakery all on one charge, the cashier was not happy with this, didn't seem like she knew how. They sent me off without an itemized receipt, which would have been nice to have. The cashier was asking one of the servers for help, but the server was ignoring her. I asked if they had a bag to put my food boxes in, they handed me one, didn't bother to open or place my items inside. This place might make it here, but management needs to do some team building with their staff, or they won't make it. I can definitely see why other diners say the servers are rude. My server was great, stopped and checked on me multiple times. Downfalls: no teamwork from the staff, no Diet Dr. Pepper, only Pepsi products. Be aware that many of the bakery products contain coffee, labels do not reflect this, and I known, I would have chosen something different. Took home a scone and a piece of banana loaf. The scone is a stale sideways cinnamon roll that was over baked and under-mixed, definitely not a scone . The banana loaf was burnt on the side that is not shown to...
Read moreCame into Toasted Brunch Bar and Cafe for the first time today. It was a Saturday, there was a decent wait of 20+ minutes to get a table. They take your cell and text you when your table is ready. I'm guessing during the weekday it isn't as packed, I'll have to update when I return, as I do plan on doing so.
We got seated, the server was prompt in getting our drinks in, I chose the house coffee and my husband opted for a cola. They currently have Pepsi products, fyi. Their coffee and tea menu was extensive, and they have a full bar so you can imbibe with your brunch if you so choose.
We didn't wait super long to get our food. Since this was our first time, we decided to try classics, I chose the All American breakfast. It had two eggs any way, I chose scrambled, two meats, I chose bacon and sausage, hash brown patties and a slice of artisanal sourdough bread. The eggs were made well, fluffy and delicious, the bacon was perfect and the sausage links were a nice flavor. The hash browns were a patty version, not your loose pan fried kind. The sourdough bread was only one piece, and they did not provide jelly, only butter, I asked. I absolutely enjoyed my food though and what was on the plate was more then I could eat. I ended up getting a box to take it home.
My husband chose the Wakey Wakey, it had a pancake, eggs his way, over easy, choice of meat which was bacon, and hash brown patties. He loved his breakfast, I had a bite of his pancake and it was delicious. A stack of those would be amazing!
Their coffee was really good, it's Yield brand coffee, which is a good choice. I'm appreciative of the fact that they provided Splenda on the table, as many do not.
They have a big case of baked goods, we wanted to take something home and it all looked so delicious. We ended up choosing the cinnamon roll, which was bigger than expected. I forgot to get a photo of it. It's a massive roll, made with butter, cinnamon and topped with cream cheese frosting. Absolutely yummy!! There is so much to try next time though, I think the coffee cake may be next, it looked scrumptious.
Overall, I enjoyed my visit, were there a few things that weren't perfect, of course. But it honestly was really tasty, and the selection of foods were really nice. The service was on point, and really made the experience perfect. I...
