Lotus Nails & Facial Salon — Local services in Bellaire

I only went here when I had to because its close to my job but every time there is something that pisses me off, Ex... I love the OPI nail color LINKIN PARK AFTER DARK, and owned it before... Well I notice it acetone or polish remover has been put in it because when she polish my nail it was matte. Now I had polish that had polish remover in it and it DONT LAST it chips even faster. Well I told her I didn't want it and she lied to my face and said "ohhh that the NEW matte finish" BS! Other then that, it is way over price and for stuff that other nail salons don't charge that much for. And today was the last straw I went in for a quick nail polish change there were two workers (including the owner) and one customer. She ask what I wanted and said "no we're busy" and not given me a time on how long they would be, like other salons would do.... This salon is in a very convenient place and I would totally go there more often and tip them very well if there wasnt always something and if they did a good job on my nails and toes. And this is my option but if you don't look like you have money then you not priority and I DIFFERENTLY get that vibe (and seen it)...

So I used to go to this place an year ago and the girl who was good got pregnant and took leave so I stopped going becoz the service was very average otherwise .

Today I was in rush and didn’t had time to go to my regular salon so thought to give it another try and I I wish I didn’t !!!

They say that they have changed the service standards but NOT for good .. the worst manicure ever at double their original price .. the lady didn’t even use wax / warm water to make the nails soft - kept on saying my cuticles were dry - well that’s when people get manicure ..

The pedicure lady had no energy to even massage .. and yes the price is 50% higher than last year .. No warm towel , no stones - nothing ..

So long story short - prices are doubled and service quality gone down to half ..

Complete waste of time , energy and money 💰! Never going back again .

Update - they were claiming to have superior quality now and it’s less barely 15 hours and look what happened to the nail polish . I just took shower...

I went into Lotus Nail Salon on 12/19/2016 around 3PM for eyebrows wax. I was the only customer at that time and there was only one worker present. As the worker applied the wax and paper onto my right eyebrow, another customer walked into the salon. Since she was the only worker present and needing to greet the new customer, the worker left me laying on the salon bed with the wax and paper on my right eyebrow (below the brow area). It felt like forever as the new customer talked about getting a new gift certificate. When she returned, she completed waxing my eyebrows. As she was wrapping up and cleaning the wax off my eyebrows, I noticed my right eyebrow was stinging intensely where she had left the wax and paper while she talked the new customer. As of this morning/afternoon, the redness and stinging sensation on my right eyelid is not gone. This operator should have known better than to leave the wax and wax paper on my eyelid for such a long period of time. I hope this does not...
