I don't understand the bad reviews and I'm a bit baffled just reading them. Obviously customer service comes first and foremost, but for me and my significant other's experience, it felt normal and not pushy at all. It's actually a lot better than most high-end 'Bellevue Square' customer service I've experienced. It was our first 'physical' Canada Goose store experience and the Customer Service was pretty normal. We don't often buy luxury/expensive brands besides Apple products, but it was a very special occasion for us both as well, so we decided to check them out.
The associate who helped us was Ismael C. and he seemed like a very down to earth, good vibes customer service guy. Actually all the other associates in there, even the security guard, was extremely chill and even recommended us some wonderful restaurants to try around the area since it's been a while since we've visited the Bellevue Collection area, and it seems that a lot of places have opened up, and also closed down. Anyway, Ismael was extremely helpful in picking/choosing jackets for us. I ended up getting the Hybridge Down Coat, while my S.O. got the Alliston Parka. Ismael also answered a ton of questions I had from warranty, overall 'ethical-ness' of Canada Goose like where does the down come from, duck down vs. goose down, why this and not that, future plans for the overall company such as their claims going fur free, and also including the upcoming, bigger Canada Goose store that is under renovation. I'm looking forward to testing out their signature 'cold room' which apparently can be as cold as 8°F (around -13°C) once it opens possibly in mid-2023.
I feel for the associates there though, I think they get a lot of people that just tries on the jackets, but then never buys since it's so expensive, but then they occasionally get snobby customers too. I think you just have to read and get a feel for the overall vibes of the associates that work here since at the end of the day, they're sales people and they have to achieve or maybe exceed sales quota. Maybe we just got lucky with Ismael and all the other folks there, who knows.
We'll definitely be coming back once their other...
