I typically really like the clothes at this store and usually the staff is super friendly and helpful. I had a great experience purchasing my clothes last time I was in the store, but had a pretty frustrating experience trying to return a pair of pants I bought.
I went into the store to return the pants and they said I could not return anything over 25% off (they were 30% off). When I purchased the pants, I did not even know they were on sale until after I had paid and realized the total was cheaper than I expected. There was nothing on the tag indicating they were on sale. In addition, the person I purchased from never told me they were final sale.
When I explained this to the sales person she told me the receipt indicated the return policy. I have looked at the receipt many times and it does not, but she was not willing to look at it. In addition, she said the return policy is displayed in front of the counter. In her defense it is but it’s in some of the smallest font I have ever seen and a whole page long. It just seems a little scammy to me. I asked for a manager and instead was just argued with and told that as a customer it is my responsibility to know the return policy of each establishment I purchase from. I also work in customer service and understand that sometimes rules are just rules but I wasn’t even given an apology or an “I understand your frustration”. If that were the case, I wouldn’t...
Read moreDO NOT shop here- this store has earned every bad review they've received. Up there with the worst customer service I've ever witnessed; my girlfriend was attempting to exchange a pair of jeans for a different size, and was told that her product wasn't eligible for exchange which was in clear contradiction with the policy notices put on their own checkout counter.
On top of that, both the store attendant and who I assume was the manager were not only unhelpful, but had poor attitudes as well, acting as if processing this exchange was some sort of massive inconvenience that didn't fall under their job responsibilities. It's especially egregious when you compare the service with even other Oak & Fort locations; the Vancouver location is far more helpful, and in the past they were able to escalate similar issues and put the customer first to find a resolution. The only "solution" that was offered at this location was return for store credit and purchase something else in store.
Based on how many negative reviews there are and how far back they extend, I'd ignore any responses from the store; they don't seem to be interested at all in improving the customer experience beyond providing a ChatGPT-generated response to any negative reviews. Take your hard-earned...
Read moreWent in while I was up visiting a friend in Seattle this last week and had to execute such self restraint from interjecting myself into the most uncomfortable situation I've experienced in a clothing store. We were 'greeted' by a woman who appeared to be the manager, but the energy in the store was anything but friendly. She was apparently 'training' a new employee, but was in fact, just berating and belittling this poor girl in front of her fellow staff, and patrons. Mind you, we were the first and only customers in yet that morning, so how this employee could have done anything to upset her superior to this extent seems completely unmerited. At one point she forced the girl to come up and greet us after we'd spoken to 2 other staff members already. The manager then stood in earshot of us both while my friend was in the dressing room and we listened as she picked apart the girl's performance, asking backhanded and rhetorical questions in the most caustic tone. I legitimately made crazy eyes at my friend in an effort to get her to vacate the place with me and she chose not to make a purchase because of it. 10/10 would not recommend anyone go in there until the dragon lady has been relieved of her duties. Bad for business and...
