I came to Sofa Outlet in San Mateo to see if they could design a custom chair for me and was told that they could. They did not design the chair I wanted; they just customized an existing chair. When I went to inquire about the error, I was told that they had given me what I requested and even sent me a picture of the delivered chair, added their own writing “approved” and said that it proved that was what I had ordered. I requested a firm, cushioned back, comfortable arm rests and what I got was wood wrapped in fabric. When I asked, I was told that no cushioning is what makes something firm. I told them that when I buy a firm pillow it doesn’t mean that it has no cushion, it means that the cushion is dense. Their resolution was that I buy a chair three times the price and they would credit me most of the original price towards a new chair. This doesn’t make any sense, why would someone pay twice as much for a replacement hair when you didn’t approve or like...
