This place has been here a LONG time! I came here while in High School and that was over 45 years ago. There has now been a change of ownership and some of the charm has gone. What I liked before is that they used to have a condiment table offering a wide variety of ‘fixins’. While a modified version of this is still available, the mayo dispenser has been replaced by tiny plastic cups. So much for making my own mix (ketchup & mayo blend). Also, the patio has been pavered and the old growth plants are gone. Also absent are the reusable plastic bins, replace by china (along with a higher price). I was thrilled that they still served their signature burger (Starvin Marvin) but paying over $25.00 for a pair of burger and fries (w/o drinks) is a bit steep. It was nice that theu served the tap water (awesome since it’s from Hetch Hetchy) in a stylish bottle.

Local restaurant and bar with a decent selection. There is a nice outdoor patio and tvs and a bar inside. There is parking outside on the street but it may get crowded during busy times. The food was just ok, got the steak which was decent but temperature was not correct. The French fries were good.

I used to LOVE the fish and chips from here. Unfortunately, the quality has slid. The past few times I've ordered them, the fish has had a faint burnt taste. Additionally, 2 times I've been given something other than Tartar Sauce. One time it was Ranch the other was Blue Cheese. I suggest marking your sauce cups. Maybe TS for Tartar Sauce, BC for Blue Cheese, and R for Ranch so there's no more confusion. The employees are very nice and have great attitudes, but when they hand a customer fish and chips with a burnt taste, and blue cheese instead of tartar sauce I can't give you a glowing review. But I won't give up on them yet!! Hopefully they can fix these issues and I'll gladly...

Ok. The staff doesn't communicate well and they are not trained in hospitality at all (gave us appetizers and our dinners at the same time, so dinner is cold and soggt by the time you eat it.) They didn't explain how they are proceeding with covid, don't walk in, they want a temp check and you have to seat yourself then walk up to the bar to place food orders and go back to your seats and waite. It's very awkward and loud. Not easy to have any conversation. Not relaxing. Parking is a nightmare. Very hard to find Parking on the street. If you are within walking distance, this is fine as a dive bar to meet a buddy and have a drink....
