I shop here about 3-6x per week for the last year and each and every time is more disappointing than the last. The store is well organized, however the staff is horrible. So horrible that I actually travel to the state of PA to go to the Exton location sometimes. I'm always greeted with smiles and very helpful workers at the Exton location. Here's a few short stories from my visits t Brandywine:
The woman at the register looked at me up and down with a grin, she did not greet me, conversed with her coworker the entire time, didnt bother asking if I was a member (I guess I didnt look like the type based on her facial expression) and did not even have the common courtesy to say "have a nice day" she just hands me my receipt.
My 7 y/o son and I walk over to checkout. No one's there but I hear a woman's voice say "I'm coming miss" and then from another direction, there's a different voice and a woman says "I got it I got it" so we walk over to her register. We then see the woman who said "im coming miss" She is rushing to the front and literally shouts "No _ (I don't remember her name) that lady was there first!! ...do you hear me?!! Noooooo she was there first!" I turn around to realize they're referring to a woman/customer my son and I passed on our way to the register. The customer was still looking around shopping nearby and didn't appear to be in line. So the cashier says TO THE OTHER CUSTOMER "I'm so sorry I didnt know I'll take you first", all while my things are already on the counter and myself and my son are standing right in front of her. She didnt say "excuse me I'm so sorry I didnt know there was another customer ahead of you" just nothing. So I take it upon myself to kindly ask the other customer "were you in line?" She says "yes I'm sorry" I reply "no it's fine if you were in line please go ahead" and I allow her to checkout first. Not once did either of the workers apologize to me. They completely ignored me as a customer and to make matters worse, once again another cashier did not ask if I was a member. How rude
These are just two of the many bad experiences at this store. At this point I'm convinced most of their employees are prejudice against black people. At least the ones I've encountered have been. I will not be shopping at this location ever again. Today was the last straw. I'd rather take the 40min drive to the...
Read moreJust don't... Choose somewhere else to purchase where you will get HONEST service. We went into the store during these COVID19 times, and bought one of their highest-end sleeper sofas with the protection to boot for a total of ~$1500. Sales associate said we could absolutely pick it up on the 29th of June. Having heard NOTHING back from the associate after 2 weeks passed and pickup date approaching, we called the store and was told that the sleeper would be in the distribution center on the 29th, and that meant our pickup might be before the 4th of July but likely the week after. This purchase was for a gift to a family member in need who has a birthday on the 4th. Once again not hearing anything, we called the store again today, and now I was told MAYBE the END of AUGUST they would have it!!! Are you kidding? Bob's has had our money for 3 weeks, strung us along representing there was availability for this sofa, and then hitting us with this news. Worse yet, the instant response was to us that we should have financed it because there's no payment till it was delivered?!? Really!?!? Take a credit account out to the detriment of our credit to cover your poor business practices? Better yet, this "manager" tried to blame the sales associate for not checking stock and status, then I pointed out that I had spoken to two other staff in the store as he was not available and go the updates, and then went on to blame COVID19... Sorry, no, this is Bob's responsibility as it should not be selling merchandise with uncertain availability! She then tried to say the sales was a pre-order, until I pointed out that was not the case, not represented in any way to be, and most importantly and binding - not on the receipt! Seems like classic bait and switch to me, and you're banking on customers who will endure YOUR delays while you sit on the customer's cash with no product to show for it! Thanks for putting us in an impossible situation as we have NO WAY to get something different in time for the birthday. What a mistake going to Bob's and experiencing used car salesperson-tactics like presented in some...
Read moreI typically have my UPS packages delivered to the store or at least my expensive ones. UPS notified me that my package was delivered and had proof of delivery. So I drove to the store to pick it up and it was not there. The store told me that my package never arrived and that UPS typically does that type of thing where my package will arrive a day or two later. Michaels was very helpful in that they provided me other Michaels stores in the area thinking that my package got delivered to one of them possibly. None of the other stores had my packages, but I knew it was signed by somebody named Ashley. I opened up an investigation with UPS and almost a week later this Michael's called me and said my packages had arrived. I'm guessing that my package was delivered to a different store in the area not Michaels. They called me directly and made sure that I knew that indeed the packages were there as it was an hour drive from my house to pick it up. Management made sure that all employees knew that I was coming to the store, looking for my package, and that it had been a week late period when I arrived to finally pick it up they were very aware and very nice about providing me my lost packages. I want to specifically thank Tamara and others that helped me through this experience they were really great and I will always shop there when I...
