The management and staff at Erewhon Beverly Hills have exposed themselves as the epitome of sanctimonious hypocrisy, cloaking their vicious cruelty in a veneer of California’s so-called “tolerance and love.” Their actions in this disgraceful incident—captured on video for all to see—reveal a callous, elitist disdain for human dignity that would make even the most cold-hearted bureaucrat blush. A hungry homeless man, driven by desperation, took a $15 burrito to stave off starvation. Instead of showing an ounce of compassion, Erewhon’s management and staff responded with the iron fist of intolerance, summoning the police to punish this man for the crime of survival. But the story grows even uglier. A good-hearted bystander, witnessing this travesty, stepped forward with an act of genuine humanity, offering to pay for the burrito and even ordering $55 worth of overpriced organic kale smoothies and quinoa bowls for himself. What did Erewhon do? They spat in the face of decency. They had the audacity to press charges against the starving man, ensuring his arrest, and then—doubling down on their petty tyranny—trespassed the good citizen, denying him his purchase. All on video, a damning testament to their moral bankruptcy. This is the true face of Erewhon Beverly Hills: a temple of performative virtue where $15 burritos are guarded like sacred relics, but human beings are treated like garbage. California preaches love and tolerance, yet Erewhon’s actions scream hatred and exclusion, a disgusting betrayal of the values they claim to uphold. They’d rather see a man jailed than fed, rather punish a compassionate customer than accept his money. This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s a vicious, calculated cruelty that thrives under the guise of progressive piety. Erewhon’s management and staff should be ashamed, but shame requires a conscience, and they’ve proven they have none. Hypocrites doesn’t even begin to cover it—they are the architects of a heartless, elitist dystopia, and this video evidence is their...

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and let me tell you, the experience, the food, the drinks and of course the Crowds have only gotten better and better and right now it’s my absolute best day spot for food, hanging out in LA and of course Beverly Hills! 🙌
Erewhon Beverly Hills is unlike any other grocery store — it’s truly a lifestyle destination. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a bright, impeccably clean space with beautifully curated displays that feel more like a luxury boutique than a supermarket. The produce is always vibrant and fresh, often organic and locally sourced, and the prepared food section is second to none. The hot bar, smoothies, and specialty drinks (like the famous celebrity blends) are consistently delicious and made with high-quality ingredients you can taste.
What sets this location apart is the level of service. The staff is warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, always happy to help find an item or explain the benefits of a new supplement. Despite the buzz and popularity of the store, the team remains professional and makes the shopping experience enjoyable.
Yes, prices are higher than your average grocery store, but Erewhon is not trying to be average. It delivers premium quality, innovative health products, and an inspiring environment that makes wellness exciting. Think of it as an investment in your health and lifestyle.
The Beverly Hills location is especially convenient, with a modern layout that makes shopping feel effortless and even fun. Every visit leaves me feeling energized and inspired to live better.
Highly recommend this spot to everyone looking for a fun experience in LA / Beverly Hills during...
Read moreErewhon is an absolute dream for anyone eating gluten-free — especially if you have celiac disease, like I do. I had no symptoms at all after eating here, and I felt completely safe with the food choices.
We visited the Erewhon location near the shopping district in Los Angeles Beverly Hills, but there are several other stores across the city, including popular ones in Venice, Silver Lake, and Santa Monica.
Erewhon is more than just a supermarket — it’s a high-end organic grocery store with a fantastic hot food bar, smoothie & tonic bar, and a wide variety of pre-packaged meals, many of which are clearly labeled gluten-free.
I picked up a Sushi ORG Spicy Sandwich (GF) from the refrigerated section. It was a standout! Ingredients included: Organic cucumber, avocado, wild tuna, real crab, wild salmon, ginger, wasabi, organic nori, and organic white/brown rice (fried in non-GMO avocado oil). The sauce was a mix of organic sriracha, chili oil, sesame oil, sea salt, black pepper, vegenaise, allulose, and teriyaki — and it was delicious. Even the soy sauce provided was gluten-free, which is rare and much appreciated!
It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality is outstanding and the range of healthy, GF, and organic options is impressive.
There are some outdoor seats available, but they’re limited and people usually don’t linger — it’s more of a “grab-and-go” lunch spot, and it can get quite busy around midday.
If you’re gluten-free in LA, Erewhon is absolutely worth a visit — safe, high-quality food, and a great selection for people with...
