Rolex Boutique on Rodeo ? Last place I thought I’d be shopping for my first Rolex.

Omega , Breitling, Bell & Ross , all daily wearers , and never retail and always Authorized Dealers, my experience for 35 years of buying watches.

So it was time for my first Rolex.

Date Just 41 Jubilee Bracelet Slate was going to be the start of my Rolex journey. An iconic watch worn by Presidents and countless influential people who wear a Rolex without ROLEX screaming from their wrist.

Watched a few Videos on how to buy an in demand watch ( the ones that people buy to resell and make a quick buck ) and threw all that in the mental trash.

Walked in to the Rolex store on Rodeo and was introduced to Benjamin. I told him exactly what I wanted and he checked the inventory.

While waiting I couldn’t help overhearing the silly customers around me , telling their salesperson on how it’s a special occasion, that they intended on buying additional watches and all the ways ( verbatim from the videos I watched) to say what it takes to get a watch in high demand.

Benjamin shortly came back with a watch that just missed the mark, yes the watch I wanted , but a few diamonds and an oyster bracelet wasn’t what I wanted.

So Benjamin advised me he would put me down for the exact watch I wanted and promised to call if it came in .

Because of the honesty he exhibited, the time he spent with me , the attempt to show me a few watches that I almost bought for that instant gratification, I left feeling he was truly going to try and make it happen.

Three days later , I received a text and a call from Benjamin, the exact watch I had wanted just came in , and he grabbed it for me.

After a short wait upstairs where I was served hors d’oeuvres and a beverage, the watch was fitted to my liking and I left with a discrete bag which contained a Rolex bag , outer cardboard sleeve protecting the Rolex Box and my Rolex watch on my wrist.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the unforgettable experience I had recently at GEARYS off Rodeo Drive. As a watch collector for 20 years, I’ve visited countless boutiques, but this was my first time working with the Rolex store, and it exceeded every expectation I had.

From the moment I walked in, the level of service was exceptional, starting with Security and continuing through every person I interacted with. The Director of the Stores, Jamie Hayes, is not only one of the nicest people I’ve ever met but also an absolute encyclopedia of watch knowledge. His passion for watches was evident, and his warm demeanor set the tone for my visit.

I’m especially thankful to Viki Garcia, who truly made this experience unforgettable. Before presenting the Rolex Explorer to me, we had a wonderful conversation about watches. She even went out of her way to assist me with putting the bracelet back on my Deep Sea, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture. Viki’s knowledge, passion, and professional yet outgoing personality made me feel completely at ease throughout the process.

When she showed me the Explorer with its stunning white dial, it was love at first sight. Viki never pressured me to make a purchase but instead provided detailed insights about the watch, ensuring I fully understood and appreciated what I was buying. Her confidence and expertise in answering every one of my (sometimes OCD and ADHD-driven) questions were truly impressive.

Even after the purchase, Viki went above and beyond by giving me a tour of the boutique and sharing more about the Rolex line. She made what could have been a routine transaction into a personalized, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience.

I cannot thank Viki enough for making this such a memorable moment, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone, whether a seasoned collector or a first-time buyer.
