This salon is truly phenomenal. Expect to receive expert care, quality products/methods, attention to detail and amaaazing hair. I often receive compliments on my hair cut and color, and while the services can be an investment for me, I make it knowing that I will leave OLLIN with my hair feeling and appearing incredible - every time, without question.

The owner, Johnny Ramirez, is a color innovator and well-accomplished expert in his field who has cultivated a remarkable location with an exquisite salon experience and team. The stylists and colorists are focused, knowledgeable, friendly, and make the transformational hair experience a fun one - which I have always appreciated.

My go-to colorist, Maggie, is truly an artist - I've gone to her since 2018. She is well-versed in color theory, styling methods and hair creativity - she always astounds me with how well she knows EXACTLY what I want to achieve with my hair. There have been times where all I've done was tell her what my hair vision was (no reference pic!!) and she delivered exactly what I envisioned. Her range and polish is exceptional and her welcoming demeanor makes for a wonderfully warm experience.

I've been going to OLLIN hair salon for the past year, so my review comes after several visits. What I can say with confidence is that this is not a salon where you just go to get a haircut. This is a salon where you go to get hair sculpted. I know that when I walk out of there, I'm going to have beautifully colored hair that will be complimented by a cut that brings out my hair's natural bounce (I have curls) and new highlights. If, for whatever reason, I'm not crazy about the color, the staff when in town bends over backwards to modify. Afterwards, it's up to me to care for my locks and make sure they don't get brassy or dry. I've found everyone to be friendly, polite and readily available for clients. I had my first cappuccino there yesterday and loved it. My daughters and I have a lot of hair, so we don't just go anywhere to get it done. This is the place where we now go. Johnny and his staff are artists, and as artists they're super absorbed in their work, which is okay by me because I'm more interested in the end result above all. A complete disappointment, waist of time and money. I wanted to color my hair with chad and reached out to him on instagram and he asked me for current pictures of my hair and how I want my hair to be and we had discussions about the other services I need (hair trim, styling, etc) then he booked me an appointment after this extensive interview! When i came in I sat across of him and started with the hair cut with Kerry (that was not my initial target BTW) and when I finished chad took a look and then said that he doesn’t recommend him coloring me and that I wouldn’t be happy with the results and that he would refer me to his collegue Maggie.

What was the purpose of the pictures and discussions? And why didn’t he say anything when I walked in? The result was a hair trim for 250$ that I didn’t want in the first place and a waist of 2 hours of my time.

I must say that kerry the stylist is super sweet and followed what I wanted exactly so I feel sorry for giving a single star. also Maggie the colorist which I was referred to by chad was super nice. but the hall experience was...
