I work up in big Bear California as a camp host at the Serrano Campground. I actually have my prescription at the CVS in big bear and was running very low and right now, There’s a fire going on up here and things are crazy. When I went to CVS to get my prescription they were closed, with a sign that said “ Closed with no ETA”. I was panicked because I had only a couple of days of my prescription left. So I called CVS in Temecula, which is where my home pharmacy is and ask them if I could transfer it to the Walgreens in big Bear they said that I could but it could take 2 to 3 hours for the transfer. I also had to call Walgreens and have them call the CVS in Temecula. I called Walgreens and spoke to Marlene who was the pharmacist, she was very kind, and I explained the situation to her and they were extremely shortstaffed there because of the fire and employees being evacuated from their homes. She said she would call CVS in Temecula and explain the situation about the fire and that I was low on my prescription. What could’ve taken 2 to 3 hours only took 20 minutes. She was very persistent with them and told them that I was low on my medication and there was a fire there and they weren’t sure if they were going to be open again The next day. With all that she was doing, she went above and beyond call of duty to make sure I can get my prescription. She is a wonderful employee, and Walgreens should be very happy to have her. I will recommend Walgreens to all my friends. I unfortunately cannot, change my pharmacy because of my insurance or I would. Thank you, Walgreens for being open during a very crazy time in big bear. And making sure your Customers have what they need...
Read moreI had a Covid test on Tuesday August 3. The “free” test (which was charged to my insurance co) results were supposed to be back in 48 hrs. The test according to the online system was lost and not delivered by Thursday, 40 hours later. I feel that I have Covid even tho I was vaccinated twice by April. I called the pharmacy where the test was taken. A rude young man apparently in the pharmacy gave me the “tough!” routine. I told him if I can’t get results maybe he should track the test. Nope. Can’t do that! I said you have no right to my pmt if you do not produce results which I need to see if I am contagious as I have been in bed very ill for a week. He hung up on me.After constantly checking online, I got a notice that my test was in on Friday. I got another notice that the results were in now. I checked the number and was told by the lab in Tennessee that my “requisition is not available.” This company is irresponsible, rude and the only Walgreen’s in town. I plan to take my business to CVS across the street. I have reported this to the district office with no reply. They have and seem to enjoy the worst reviews in town. Take your business elsewhere. ...
Read moreHad a very poor pharmacy experience just now......horrible customer service at the Walgreens Big Bear Lake pharmacy. My son broke his arm last night and we spent 6.5 hrs in the emergency room to get his arm set and needed to fill his pain medication script this morning before we drove home. The blonde woman who was helping me lacked any compassion and told me it would be 1.5 hrs for his prescription to be filled. Terrible attitude and said “Hey it’s a Monday morning...” and could care less about the situation. There was an army of ppl working in the pharmacy & yet she said “she’s alone”. I could tell she had no intention of helping us in a timely manner. I have a whole car full of my family and dog waiting. I walked out totally disgusted. This could’ve been handled so much better....you guys are in the healthcare business for heavens sake. Truly a coaching opportunity with...
