Marley's Music is a Gulf Coast TREASURE. This family run business goes above and beyond to provide the best customer experience. From their curated opinions based upon your interests, to helping you find that album that has been elusive. These guys do it all, from care supplies, to a large selection of vinyl, and high quality equipment to play it on. This shop is the one stop shop for any of your vinyl needs.

My favorite feature that this shop offers, is the ability to special order those extra rare "must-own" albums. If you want a specific pressing or release for nearly any record, if it exists, they can probably get it.

Staff here have an encyclopedic level knowledge towards various bands. Armed with their knowledge, they act as curators to help you discover new music, without departing too far from your established wheelhouse.

They also carry clothing, and love to support local musicians.

My Record Store Ritual..

As with every new place I visit, big or small, I always seek out the local record store. While online browsing didn't give me high hopes for Marley's Music, I believe in supporting local businesses.

The store caters to specific genres, not quite my usual hunting ground as a 90s DJ looking for specific artists, 12-inches, and EPs. Despite the limited selection, I scored some gems: a Brand New Heavies single, a Human League mini-LP, and a killer 70s Puerto Rican/Afro-Cuban compilation – all at fantastic prices!

This is more than just a record shop with LP's, CD,s and yes cassette tapes. The moment you walk in you find yourself in that place that not only has some of the hardest to find LP's at your finger tips but also one of the friendliest, knowledgeable and down right good to see guys when you walk through the door. I've never been to Marley's Music shop and haven't been greeted with a smile and genuine pleasantry that pours off the man like sweet tea in the backyard south. I always feel welcome cause he makes it a point to make your experience there a finer point of the day. As the music spins with it's clicks and pops I'm at ease as I breeze through the selection.
