Today was the first time I went to Bakehouse 46, I bought 2 dozen donuts for my daughter’s pre homecoming party. The blonde lady taking my order was extremely rude and seemed to be in a hurry even though I was the only one in the store at 9.15am. She started stuffing the donuts in a paper bag, after I requested it be placed in a box she said we usually just bag these, I requested for a box again and she went off to get it. Since I bought one dozen cider donuts and one dozen gourmet donuts I asked them to placed 6 each (cider and gourmet) in two boxes which wasn’t done, I asked if she could show me how she placed it but she just went ahead and taped the box. I asked for the price of cupcakes and she pointed to the price display behind her, then hurriedly asked me to pay for the donuts even though I was trying to sign up for their rewards program. I wanted to order cupcakes too and another donut order for my family but felt like I was such an inconvenience to her that I just paid and left. First time writing a negative review in my life. Kindness goes a long way and has a ripple effect, I wish more people understood this. Sadly I would never go to this store again or...
Read moreCute coffee shop, pretty spacious. Ordered a cappuccino, banana pudding and apple pie donut all good. My only critique is that I was charged more than the price display and I’m almost positive legally you would have to charge the listed price. My issue really wasn’t over $1-3 dollar price difference, as much as, when I pointed it out I was given different excuses and “taxes" comment was comical. A 6% sales tax wouldn’t jump up in final price by $1 on a $4 item. I did mention to the girls who were lovely overall, they needed to changed the price list. Not appropriate to have an item listed at one price when it’s actually increased in price by 25%. I do need to point these things out as a customer for anyone who is coming to this location. These reviews have merit, even somethings this small just speaks volumes to the customer service. Customer service is what brings...
Read moreI work nearby so I used to nearly daily purchase drinks, cupcakes, and bagels from Bakehouse, however since my last visit I've decided to go back to Starbucks because it just felt icky. Every other time I have mobile ordered I just give them my name for the order and if it's an item from the fridge I just grab it, but the employee that day wanted me to show proof. That alone would have been fine even though they normally just check the screen on their POS, however the attitude it was done with made me feel like the employee was accusing me of stealing a water bottle. I don't know why that tone was taken, but I am part black and wore an eye patch in store that day so perhaps it had to do with that? Either way my loyal daily patronage will have to end because I refuse to pay people to harass...
