Thai Esane — Restaurant in Birmingham

Had to share what an outstanding experience I had here! The chicken pad Thai was out of this world! Reasonably priced and exceptionally good. The chicken was tender and the sauce was flavorful. Perfectly cooked noodles and I really loved this dish. I can’t wait to try others. I do think the fresh spring roll was a bit off a miss, but that’s ok with me. I was really here for the pad Thai.

These other reviews had me a bit worried, but I’m so glad I tried it anyway. Truly don’t know if they’ve made some great improvements or if those people just didn’t know what they were talking about!

As soon as I walked up to the counter the girl taking orders was playing a game on her phone. I stood for a minute thinking she’d just take my order and her phone rang and she got up and walked away with me standing there talking to what sounded like a friend laughing about the events from the other night. Once I was trying to get their attention they were like “hold on this man wants to order something” to which made me almost just walk away. I stumbled upon Thai Esane when I was with my family in the food hall, and it smelled so good that I had to try it. I am so happy I did because it’s now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area! I tried a variety of their dishes, Thai tea and iced coffee. Everything tasted really fresh and flavorful! My family decided to get food from another restaurant, and they ended up eating all of my food because it was that good! I was so surprised with the mixed reviews, but I believe there’s a new owner so that may explain it. Pro tip, ask if they have their chocolate cake...
