Unos Tacos — Restaurant in Birmingham

Chuy and crew do a fabulous job! We stopped in recently to get some curbside and shared tacos, tostados and a quesadilla! We mixed up the meats trying all the choices pollo, asada and chorizo. All were delicious. I’m usually not a big chorizo fan but here at Unos I’m a convert. We also had the guacamole and queso. The guac had chunks of fresh avocado and was great! We had enough crispy chips left to bring a giant bag home! Folks listen up, everything is hand made right here with high quality ingredients. Some of the best tacos in Birmingham! Born & raised in TX, I’ve found the search for good tacos in AL a difficult one. I popped into Pizitz for a quick lunch and settled on Unos Tacos. I ordered the steak street tacos - authentic tacos should only be served on corn tortillas in my opinion. They came out DELICIOUS. I went with the cashiers recommendation of guacamole and was not disappointed. It was fresh and flavorful. I didn’t love the chips. Paid for a large burrito and was given a regular size. I then went back to talk and maybe get the right one( no harm, no foul) since I paid for it and the woman proceeded to lie about the sizes of the burritos.
