Growing concerned. I placed an online application for a sectional on Friday. Before the end of the day, they had already called and confirmed my references because they call to tell me of all the personal questions that was asked. Didn't hear from them. The following Monday, I call to see if it was approved. The person asks if they scheduled the delivery. I advised that I hadn't heard from anyone since applying. The guy, Jamal, advises that I should call back to speak with a female later that day when she arrives as she handle online applications. I call back later that evening and spoke with the same guy who said it was approved and asked questions about the elevator. He advised that the couch I was interested in is being delivered to someone else and they would have to order another for me...it wouldn't be in until next week sometime. But in the meantime , he would send someone to measure the elevator on Wednesday although they have a half of a day due Thanksgiving. I agree and complete my move on Tuesday to assure that I'm there...no one shows or answer the phone.
I call today to see what happened. The guy advises that I should've received an email advising that they no longer carry the sectional that I want. I hadn't received any calls or emails on this application since the confirmation. He suggests that he will send me pics of what's in stock today and takes my number around 1pm. It's 548pm and I have received nothing from them. At this point, I will just request a refund because they have been jerking me around for 8 days with no resolution. I went into the store and ordered some new couches for my new home paid and when it was time for the item to get delivered The delivery guys tell me they can’t get the couch in through the door first off when they got here they didn’t even look like they wanted to work anymore one of them was complaining Second how about try to get the couch in instead of just looking and making an assumption By looking.. we started arguing back-and-forth because I stated to them that I had bigger couches than the ones that I picked out and my husband manage to get them through the door.. I called the store manager (Ali) he didn’t want to show face on the phone instead had another worker talk to me and tell me right away OK we can refund your money back. The point here is that the delivery people just didn’t want to do their job they didn’t want to work it was the end of the day and didn’t want to be bothered with it. Once I called the store I was transferred to the manager from Bloomfield ave his name is AL very unprofessional if i didn't call i would not have known anything on what's going on. I called the day before my delivery to confirm if my delivery was still on Al said yes but he needed additional information, my thing if you as a manager and you needed to verify something wouldn't you as a manager call the customer to let them know ahead of time you cant get in contact with old apartments I used to live in. Never called me then he goes to tell me that he hasn't spoken to my husband I inform him that my husband doesnt speak much English that's why I do everything for him. So since he didnt speak to my husband he cancels the order and never called to inform me if I didnt call I would have been waiting for a delivery that was never coming.
