I received a thoughtful housewarming gift, which was unfortunately not quite my style. Since I had the receipt I decided to exchange it for something that might match my decor better. The shop manager declared that he would not accept a return, even though I had the receipt (which clearly showed that the item had been purchased at full price), because the gift giver was a real estate agent! He eventually backed off, but insisted that he would need to inform the gift giver about the trade in. I thought he had to be joking! In fact, sure enough, he did inform our realtor, who contacted me about it, creating an awkward situation for everyone. While she was very sweet, even apologetic, about the whole thing I will definitely never set foot in this store again and sadly can't recommend it to anybody in fear that they might be treated with equal disrespect. Not only am I an artist represented within the walls of Blue Ridge Cotton Company, I am a loyal customer. They protect the authenticity of my own original work (and that of other designers and artists) by posting a sign on the door, asking customers to not take photographs of their merchandise, designs and original art. They masterfully curate the goods they present: remarkable, fun, elegant and practical. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I find the staff exceptionally helpful, and the ownership does a great deal of good philanthropically within the region.

A great shop with a little bit of everything. The lady working was extremely nice and offered lots of advice on good restaurants in the area. I bought some super comfy - and cute- clothes, as well as souvenirs for my kids at home. Good prices, too! I'll go back next time I'm in Blue Ridge!
