Michaels — Local services in Blue Springs

They are not very customer oriented. They do not satisfy customers needs. Here is a short version of why. I went in to buy an item they had on sale. They were out of that item. I asked for a rain check which they do not supply (Hobby Lobby does). So I called the next morning to ask them to hold the item I was wanting. They said they would call when they found the item on their shipment that came in the night before. No one ever called. So I again called and talked to employee and asked for a manager. I was assured that I would get a call when they found the item. Never heard from them and this why they are getting a bad rating from a very upset customer. I've always worked in retail and customer satisfaction is 1st and always made sure the customer was happy and met their needs. Not in this case...

I really like Michael's, but while they have a little bit of almost anything you need (other than cloth) their selection is limited. If you need zippers, you're good, if you need a specialty zipper, not so much. The common things are there, but if it's something that doesn't move quickly, you probably won't find it. That said, I always check there first. Don't forget to look for their online coupons! They also now have self check, which you'll be encouraged to use, which is good in that the cashiers were always being pulled for other tasks, and there was only one, so you could end up waiting in line. Very poor efficiency in ordering online. I had started with over $150.00 in my cart. By the end I didn't even place an order because everytime I went to check out an error would display saying I had out of stock items in my cart. I continued to remove each item until my cart total was $73 (taking approximately 45 min. Because it was only showing 1 item at a time and I would have to complete the whole checkout process EVERY TIME.)
