The customer service at the Boerne location is absolutely awful!! They seriously NEVER answer their phones, they close early for lunch in complete disregard to office hours and the staff is incredibly rude.
I simply needed to confirm that an order had been called in by my doc but since they don't answer their phones, I was unable to get that information over the phone. So I drove across town during a ridiculously busy work day BEFORE their closing time and guess what!? They closed early!! The door was open so I went inside. There was a sign on the window that said "CLOSED". I could hear someone in the back so I called out. Of course the person in the back got really quiet. So I left a note letting them know what I needed (a specimen kit) and asked for them to please call me. I never received a call. I drove all the way back over there (remember, my work day is overwhelming anyway - I DO NOT have time for this!) After a back and forth starting with me asking if their phones work and a 20 minute wait (listening to the phone ring incessantly and never being answered), I get called up and asked if I had the requisition. THAT is all I ever wanted to know!!! Do you have a requisition for my specimen kit?!?!? What should have taken 25 minutes out of my day took over 1 1/2 hours!! I FINALLY got the specimen kit.
I will get this one test done because of the time invested. But I will NEVER use LabCorp again. And I will absolutely let my doc know about this experience. There are other labs in Boerne. Don't waste your precious time with this lazy,...
Read moreWas provided an appointment by Veterans Evaluation Services to have a lab draw at this location. I arrived 15 minutes early and checked in at the kiosk in the lobby. Was called to the desk by name and was asked if I had lab orders with me. I responded “no I do not”. I am told no labs can be taken with out a lab order. Which made sense but I didn’t make the appointment, VES did and they didn’t provide any lab order. I then asked if she could check and see if they had a lab order provided from VES. She responds with “that’s what I asked you”. I didn’t think much of it but she only asked me if I had them. Anyway, she tells me I am lucky because they do have my lab order. She tells me to have a seat and she will call me back shortly. When she calls me back I realize she is the only one checking people in and doing the labs. The lobby was full when I walked in and was still full when I was called to do my labs. She then tells me next time to make an appointment, I can do it online. Again, I didn’t really think much of it because I didn’t have anything to do with making the appointment in the first place. So if you are a veteran don’t leave when she tells you she can’t draw your labs with out an order. Make sure to tell her that she should have them already from VES through the VA. I am only making this review because of the lack of communication between VES and this place that will prolong veterans being evaluated...
Read moreEvery LabCorp I’ve ever been to has been a 2, 3 star experience at best… until this experience. I attempted to book an appt on line but next available was too far out. So, I took a big risk & drove 45 min each way to ’walk in’. I assumed I’d be there for hours. Instead, this is what happened … I walked in on a Monday morning around 9am. The only other patient was at the window talking to the woman behind the desk. I went to the digital sign in kiosk. Put in my info, sat down & she called my name in less than 2minutes. I gave her all my info, had a very pleasant conversation, I told her this was the best experience so far at any LabCorp. I learned that Michelle has been there 3 years, (usually by herself!), and the days they send a 2nd person over are really helpful to her/patients. Sidenote: she shows up every day, despite being totally overworked. A reminder to be nice to people, you never know what’s going on behind the scenes.
I sat down, was called back about 2 min later. Joseph had trouble finding a producing vein. When he did, i geared up for a painful draw. And instead, felt NOTHING. Literally, it was the best blood draw of my life!
I think the total amount of time I was there was maaaaaybe 20 minutes.
Huge thanks to Labcorp MVPs...
