Ecco Beauty Hair Salon 琪棋髪 — Local services in Boston

This was my second try at this Salon. (I got the Japanese Hair Straightening.) The first time I did this here, the lady missed huge pieces of hair & I left the salon with very puffy hair. I just did my hair again here & it was left puffy, once more. The stylist also seemed like she couldn’t handle the amount of hair I have. She wasn’t properly drying my hair, which is crucial in this process. I’m hoping the results are decent this time.. (after the first wash). Last thing is that I was not told beforehand that they don’t take Discover debt card. They made an effort to plug my card it but told me how Discover charges more, which isn’t the customers concern. Please tell people which cards they accept before getting their hair done. I heard the lady telling her coworker how I used a Discover card once I had walked out. Very unprofessional.

I’m also confused why the stylist left for a long period of time, while she was in the middle of doing my hair. I think she was eating, not sure. But this happened both hair appointments. Not only that, but she was late both times. I didn’t care at first but she gave no explanation today. The communication wasn’t great.

I won’t be returning. I expect more attention to detail and professionalism for a treatment that cost...

Updated: Owner/She contacted me and redo the perm. New solution for hot perm is good and no painful anymore. And the straight parts are curved now. Two small pieces I requested are made this time. The whole style is very different after adjustments. Nice work! It is much prettier than the last style. It is as good as last year’s one. Refund parts of payment to me and the price also changed to regular range. It is quit worth it now. Thx a lot for the nice service!

DO NOT do the biochemical perm here! The chemicals he used are very burningly painful(still pain after turning off the heater, I was so scared and worried about my head skin) and didn’t make the enough curves like they promised. Top and back hairs are still straight! Also he forgot to do the two small pieces at front I asked. Spend ~$440 with minimum 17% tips. The low score of reviews is only because it is not worth it - both processing and results. And I am sure it is much worse on style than the previous one I did here. By the way, they charged more and even put a product when paying without asking me if I wanted it or not. I doubted it and then rejected it. And also he did it slower than the promised time. Only the attitude is good. However, I prefer it doing better than...

I expressed clearly what I wanted and referred to the picture on the website. They instead did a very different perm, which I hate, and now my hair is dry, damaged, and the opposite of what I wanted or asked for. I’ve been trying to correspond with them to see what can be done, but all they do is ask “when do you want to come in” and send me an image of their hair are options. So not only did they really mess up my hair, they have no ability to help problem solve and fix it, nor any sense of responsibility to do so. I highly suggest staying away if you want to actually get what you are looking for from a hair salon!

Responding to your reply - you did NOT explain that it would be completely different from the hair style I was requesting but told me that it would be the way to achieve what I was requesting. And this is the most words you have replied to me - you wrote less across 5 emails and have not provided any suggestion. You did not ask for me to come in to see what it looked like and problem solve what can be done. You just kept emailing “when do you want to come in” and those words only, which does not address anything that I had been asking or requesting.
