Don’t use their tester bottles as an indication of what your own mixed purchase will smell like. I tried on Santal 33 from the tester bottle and it lasted on my skin for two days even after taking a shower! It was an incredible smell and I instantly became addicted! HOWEVER, the perfume contained in the $310, 100 ML of perfume I purchased smells mostly of alcohol and the scent lasts on my skin for only 10 minutes or so. The smell is NOT the same as what was in the tester bottle. My husband smelled me with the tester and then later the bottle I purchased and can attest to the same. I reached out to the store and they told me that the perfume will smell of alcohol initially and has to settle for 2 weeks to 2 months before it will smell like the tester did. My question is.. who spends $310 on a bottle of perfume that isn’t ready to wear, and why isn’t that caveat shared with customers anywhere in their store, advertising or even in instructions given upon purchase? It sounds like a bunch of malarkey to me. I emailed a polite email to one of Le Labo’s chief executive officers expressing my disappointment and didn’t receive any reply or acknowledgement. I was surprised how quiet the place was not crowded either just the one employee. Definitely worth the trip anyone should be able to find something they like here,seems like they have more stuff here than on their website. The women who made me a bottle was fast but was also paying attention to what she was doing. Great place to get any le labo fragrance.

Edit: 1/15/23 Visited Le labo on Newbury wanting a bottle of patchouli 24 and some other things bought my stuff left the store and got home. When I sprayed it on me I was about half the strength as usual..p24 is a strong scent normally. So I returned on Jan 29th and spoke with a helpful women (Mariah) she confirmed what I had thought it was not right. She quickly made a new bottle for me and made things right. When your spending money at Le labo this is the kind of service you need and want. Thank you...

Walked in today and no one even acknowledged my existence because they were both so busy accommodating a customer whose $300 bottle apparently smelled horrific - I think that’s a one person job, but ok. In the 15 minutes that I waited because I knew what I wanted, two other people walked in and out of the store - all I could think about was the amount of money they were potentially losing because neither of these employees were capable of effective problem solving on their own.
