I had to immediately rush to the interwebs to scream about my service after being made up by Niambi! I cannot say enough how awesome the whole sesh was. Niambi did an amazing job and I am beyond happy with how my make-up application session and the proceeding day of wear went. Keep reading for more deets and if you want to read a whole essay about the things I enjoyed about my experience.

[Accomodating] First of all, being chaotic, I did not contact Niambi until a short time before the event I needed to be made up for. I'm usually a few months in advance planner, but luckily Niambi was able to get me in. She was so very responsive and chatted with me to find out more about what look I was going for and what we could do. Secondly, I had this poor soul up at 6am to do my face. That's right, y'all - 6am!

[Location Advisory] The Stilisti salon is on Newbury street, so it was no issue getting there via Uber/Lyft. If you're thinking about driving - reconsider bc the parking situation looked terrible and even that early, there were already tickets. Salon is clean and spacious and gives off a soothing vibe. Subtle jazzy tunes are playing to put you at ease and care was obviously put in the set up.

[Greeting/Introduction] Alright back to the experience (because it was). Niambi was there to greet me when I entered all smiles and big grin and I immediately wanted to give her a hug because it's 6am before a giant event and I'm already ANXIOUS!! Niambi had her station ready. Took the dress I brought so that she could see and match my makeup to it - hung it up for me so it wouldn't wrinkle - offered me some coffee (godsend) and treats (Biscoff cookies - yum!) and immediately got to work after making sure that I was as comfortable as can be and a look was settled upon.

[Passionate/Caring/Patient/Skilled] You can tell that Niambi genuinely loves what she is doing but she was so engaging and also took the time to explain what she was doing and get to know me and the function I was going to. I felt super comfortable and cared for the whole time. Niambi took the time to answer any questions I had during the application and watching her work felt like viewing an artist. I felt like Niambi was genuinely interested in me as a person and that makes a whole lot of difference. I also felt like Niambi was a soul sister - haha! How can we have so much in common!! Absolutely amazing!!

[Final look] When I was pronounced done, I was in shock! Who was this person in the mirror? It felt like a Cinderella transformation and Niambi was moonlighting as my fairy godmother. Her application was flawless. The facial recognition on my phone didn't recognize me at all. I felt like a princess. Dating myself, but this was some princess diaries type transformation. A Brandy going to the ball to impress Prince Charming type of transformation. Her skills are SO GOOD!! I can't stop gushing!!

And knowing that my event would take up the whole day - I was given some tips on how to care for my look and keep it lasting. That makeup stayed on me for around 14hrs + and it didn't feel heavy, runny and I got compliments through the night. I felt 100% beautiful all day long because of her hardwork and attention to detail. Even after such long wear, Niambi was conscious to choose brands that wouldn't interact with my very sensitive skin. Niambi also saw that my curls needed to be reapplied and offered to touch them up for me! Absolutely didn't have to but the fact that she saw that and let me know and offered to help just about made my experience even better!

Honestly I feel like I didn't pay enough! The whole session was very reasonably priced especially accounting for the early hour and the wealth of effort. My day was made so perfect and memorable from the very beginning. If I lived in Boston, I would definitely make this my go to salon and if I visit again, I will definitely see if I can squeeze in a session because I felt so loved and taken care of that I will definitely come back!!

I have been to so many different salons, even in different countries. This salon is hands down the best salon I have ever been to. The salon itself is gorgeous and has a great view, the receptionists are super friendly, the music is great, there's snacks and beverages, and just being there was fun because the energy was just so upbeat. The place was full but the wait wasn't long. The hair washing sinks were so comfortable, something I have never said before. They also give you a nice relaxing scalp massage. My hair stylist Kayla was so amazing. I was nervous to cut my long damaged hair because I don't like short hair on me, but with the way she cut it, I absolutely love it. She was so fun to talk to and very informative, she answered all my questions and gave her honest opinions. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time I was there, being there is a real treat. I don't live in the area unfortunately so I can't come often. But it would definitely be worth the 4 hour drive. I have to add they also sell amazing high quality hair products at a fair price. The salon is also super clean and modern. I have nothing bad to say at all, it is worth every penny! Thanks...

I did some research before I made a decision to go to Stilisi and get extensions put in by a “master stylist.” I have been going there for about a year and was being provided with a very expensive service. I was schedule to get my 3rd set changed out again. I have spent thousands of dollars on services and tips. Today I had an appt at 11am. I live about 45mins away and my son had an allergic reaction this morning so at 8am I called and left a message and emailed them.

I just got a $100 charge because it wasn’t within the 24hr window. And it is not about the $100-please. It is the principle that I legitimately needed to cancel. When I called to discuss I was told the owner and stylist would discuss this and call me. The owner did call me and said that there would be no exception and the stylist lost out on clients because of me.

I will never go back and the stylist was such a poser and fake and acted like she was a friend. Then she puts this hardball $100 charge.
