I purposely stopped in while traveling looking for treats to return home with for my loved one. We immediately took note of the signage at that door stating no outside food could be brought it. The sign actually raised my confidence and gave me a sense of security to buy food items accessible to the public in bulk. Boston is a transient, high foot traffic city, especially this time of year where the streets are flooded due to the start of college/university academic year and not to mention the phenomenal weather. I reminded a few guests there that they should use the tongs provided, not their hands.
Within moments of entering, we heard this beautiful Caribbean accent bursting with hospitality mixed of course with sunshine! Instantaneously, KEVIN delivered world-class customer service!
Kevinās world class customer service was demonstrated by:
Giving us a clear the lay of the land ā there are so many yummy options, thereās a lot visually to take in. There are healthy options (a variety of flavors of creamy cashews), very indulgent / Candy Land type options (Dubai chocolate) and everything in between (white chocolate dipped corn flakes)!
With proper guidance, Kevin gave us space to explore. Because thatās really a major part of an amazing experience right? Feeling like a kid in a candy store! What a great escape!
Kevin exceeded all the Golden Rules. In fact, In the days since our visit, I reflected and thought, Kevinās skills are easily transferrable into a number of roles. Heās really just that good!
When it came time to check out, Kevin reappeared and thoughtfully collected the results of the step-by-step instructions heād given us to assemble the gift for my mother. The beautiful executive and love Kevin put into the wrapping and exquisite packaging nearly brought me to tears. As an Alzheimerās patient, my mother is still very observant and appreciate of visual dĆ©cor. Kevin had no way of knowing his generous actions would have such a meaningful impact on my mother.
THANK YOU...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy spouse and I were roaming around and saw the Nuts Factory. He being a huge sweets and nuts guy wanted to go in and we also saw their advertising the viral Dubai chocolate that we also always wanted to try. While my spouse was shopping around, I located the collection of chocolate bars on the counter of the unmanned register. I took a couple of bars and was excited to show my spouse of the find, up till when a staff member came up to me and asked if I needed help which I declined. As I proceeded to leave the area, he had requested for me to leave the merchandise and to retrieve it when I checked out because āpeople leave with it, not that you wouldā insinuating that I would steal or will absentmindedly walk out without paying. I was stunned by this rather rude and insulting interaction. If the store has issues with theft, there should be more passive controls in place one of which is to place the expensive merchandise behind the counter, far from reach and customer access to avoid these uncomfortable confrontations or a sign that would help dictate to customers store policy. This practice does not instill confidence nor does it provide a safe space for the buyer which consequently discourages purchasing. Quite frankly, I expect this poor staff etiquette in a less high end neighborhood and would have walked out had it not been for my excited spouse and didnāt have the heart to tell him at the time of this embarrassing interaction to salvage his positive experience. We still walked out with over 70 dollars worth of merchandise including the almighty Dubai bars that I now have now no interest in consuming. Thankfully, the girl who checked us out was very courteous and nice hence the 3 star review and the store had a lot of variety but sadly to say we will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy gf and I were looking forward to trying Dubai chocolate for the longest time, and were so excited to find out this place was selling it. We browsed around at some of the treats there, noticing how some products didnāt contain ingredients labels. After some time looking, we decided to just settle with what we had gone there for, which was just the Dubai chocolate.
It was sold by the register, in clear containers with a nice fancy sticker advertising the chocolate.. but with no ingredients sticker. Well, we decided to give it a chance anyway because we asked the girl working the register if there was any wheat or peanuts, (my gf has celiac, and I have a severe peanut allergy), but she assured us there wasnāt any.
Brought it home, I had a gut feeling there mightāve been peanuts so I decided to not give it a try. My girlfriend takes a bite, and she immediately tastes the nutty flavor of peanuts, different than pistachios. After some time, she began itching and thatās a side effect that occurs when she eats anything with wheat.
I never leave reviews, but management of the Nuts Factory needs to do better. Instead of solely focusing on marketing your Dubai chocolate and spending extra $ on the fancy label, spend some time labeling your products with ingredients lists too. Itās insane how a store on Newbury is even allowed to do that. Think about the amount of customers you guys put at risk due to your carelessness.
Itās also by law, that you need to label your products with...
