I'm almost 70 years old and I was asked for my identification to prove I am of an appropriate drinking age. That's ok, I understand this very important law but, I didn't enjoy being challenged by the male cashier about the validity of my California DL. The guy was at least as old as I am. At first I thought the cashier was joking. I replied,"I haven't been carded in many years thank you." This is when I noticed that this guy was not joking, as he asked me to State my birthdate aloud in order to validate my identification, he did not feel my driver's license was legitimate. This was very uncomfortable to say the least. By the looks of the cashier he looked to be of my approximate age mid 60's,(in my opinion). I was in town for a wedding. This cashier was dressed as a train engineer as it was Halloween day Sunday to be exact in the late morning. Anyway I didn't let this cashier spoil my trip even though the individual was giving me a hard time in my attempt to get some supplies including beer. To add to his attack on the validity of my identification which was not question by TSA officials coming or going to Co. After I asked for a bag for my purchased items this cashier informed me that,"here in Colorado people are not afraid to walk around with beers." Target store personnel are usually nice and pleasant in every state I have ever been in. After suffering this individual in beautiful Boulder Colorado. Shoppers Beware don't let this guy mess with your good time. Target should speak to this guy. He could make people think twice about using the Target down the street from The beautiful and pleasant Hilton. What a let down. This was the only unpleasant occurrence which happened in an otherwise wonderful weekend in a beautiful city. Sorry Target 🎯 but this guy missed...

I had planned on getting my son some goggles but I wasn't sure if they were still in stock. Being awake before the kids is a rare opportunity so I decided to call the store while everything was quiet. At 7 AM.
I honestly didn't think I was going to get through but I always figure why not try. To my surprise an associate picked up after the recorded voice told me the store was closed.
The associate I spoke with was extremely friendly and told me that while the goggles were probably already gone she would call over to the sporting good section and see if someone was there.
I was on the line for a minute or so while she waited for a response and she told me that indeed the goggles were gone. It was so fantastic to be able to speak with someone outside of business hours that was so willing to help. Even if it wasn't the answer I wanted.
She even took a moment to list off a couple of other stores I could try.
Having worked in retail I can tell you this: how someone works when they're on the clock says a lot about how things are going. How someone responds when they're off the clock says a lot about the kind of person they are and the kind of company they work for.
Big kudos to Target for being a good company and hiring...
Read moreI've been to a lot of Targets and this one hits the mark (sorry, couldn't resist). Store is always clean and shoppable. I love that Target has a rewards program now. Great prices compared to most of the other grocery/retail stores in town. They have nearly everything you need to avoid buying from King Bezos. The Good & Gather brand is a solid alternative for price and quality. Trading card selection could use a boost. Starbucks could go away and I wouldn't miss it. Staff is generally friendly and easy to communicate with. They're not pushy salespeople at all. I'm impressed with the overall quality of new hires given the nature of idiots that CU tends to release into the wild. Hours are perfect. About as close as we'll ever get to being open late-night and I'll take it. Returns does a phenomenal job at getting. it. done. As a former retail employee of many years, I must say, Returns is the best trained department in the whole store. If you disagree with this, turn around, remove stick. Front end/self checkout staff is about as top-notch as it gets. Some hiccups here and there but self checkout was never meant to be glorious. Well done front end. My only complaint is... wen 24 hours? 10/10. 5 stars. Double high-five. Keep it up...
