I wish I could give it a 0!!! It was the worst customer service I've ever had! It was my first time, sad to say first impressions are everything! The hostess was horrible. I was the first in line and thy took people who came in after me .... And she was rude, made me feel second rate. Made my appetite turn upside down. So I got the bill and instead of making a big deal, I was just writing a note about it on the back of the bill. Then the hostess came up and asked if there was a complaint? I said yes but I'll just right it down. She said, she was the manager and i can just tell her! I said, thanks I'll just right it down! She left, then came back with a cook from the back. I guess it was suppose to be her intimidater, he came out all hostel. Asking me what I do for a living, I told him a lot of things. He said well, I don't come to your.... Uhmmm.... Do you want me to critique critique you? I said no thanks. I didn't even get to finish my note on the back of the bill, he grabbed it off the table, while I was writing on it! The waitress was nice. Just everything else was horrible. Worst restaurant...

We got the potato bacon soup in a cup, with a half a sandwich, it was Turkey tomato and lettuce. The bread was not toasted, the sandwich got mushy immediately and was falling apart. The turkey didn't taste like anything special. We did not like the soup. Too much pepper, it was very dark which you don't expect for potato soup. It said it was served with chips, I expected potato chips, but it was served with these big flat frito-type chips. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. At one point I saw two employees outside, looks like they were helping this guy get a dog into a dog crate inside of a van. Although I thought it was very magnanimous, and I love people that help animals, I wondered if they washed their hands when they came back into the restaurant. I did not finish the soup, and I brought my sandwich home, deconstructed it and threw the mushy bread out, it is some bacon and some lettuce of my own, and grilled the sandwich, so it was pretty good. The price was $14.75 for a cup of soup a half a sandwich and about 10 corn chips. I thought it was a little...

We couldn't decide on a breakfast place, and then I read "banana bread french toast," and was immediately sold. The cafe is small, and quiet. A cozy atmosphere for sure. Their coffee was really good. One of my friends got the biscuit and gravy and said it was great. The biscuit was grilled before adding the gravy which made it even better. My other friend and I couldn't decide between one of their sammy's and the aforementioned banana bread french toast. So we each got one and shared! The sammy was a delight! Eggs and spinach cooked together with chunks of delicious ham served on an English muffin with cheese. There was also a tomato jam which we asked for on the side because that's, well, not my jam 😁. My friend said it was good. The banana bread french toast was just as good as I'd hoped, and it had a light yogurt lingonberry drizzle on it which made it pop even more. This place gives you down home comfort food with small twists to elevate the food to a new level of deliciousness....

Had breakfast here today and left feeling like a complete sucker. Take a look at the picture of the food I ordered. 2 eggs, 1 piece of bread, 15ish bites of breakfast potatoes, and a cup of coffee. What would you tell me if I told you that this cost $20.50 (before tip)? You'd probably say that it's a ripoff, and you'd be right. The only reason I ordered this stuff is because I was passing through Bozeman and assumed the portions would be much more generous for the asking price. I was in for a surprise to say the least when the plate arrived at my table. Honestly might be one of the smallest if not THE smallest plate I've seen served at a breakfast restaurant like this. To put things in perspective, there are breakfast places in NYC, Seattle, and other HCOL cities that give more food at a lower price. To top it all off, the food for this dish wasn't anything special. All in all, I left disappointed and $22+ poorer after my visit to Cateye. I won't go back.

When in town for a wedding, a friend recommended a breakfast joint down the way that ended up being closed and thank goodness they were!!! because then we stumbled up on Cateye Cafe a couple blocks down main street. We added our name to their call out sheet and only waited about 15 minutes? The staff was busting butt running around crazy, but you wouldn’t know they were busy because their service was very efficient and they were all light hearted and happy to be helping. The food was DELICIOUS and had a homemade quality to it- 10/10!! My favorite part and what will keep us coming back whenever in town, was the atmosphere- you look around and not a single person was on their phone because at each table is playing cards, trivia games, little trinkets and more. Cateye truly provides a space to connect with each other, laugh and enjoy the moment. Cateye’s got something good going, don’t miss out!
