I wish I could give it a 0!!! It was the worst customer service I've ever had! It was my first time, sad to say first impressions are everything! The hostess was horrible. I was the first in line and thy took people who came in after me .... And she was rude, made me feel second rate. Made my appetite turn upside down. So I got the bill and instead of making a big deal, I was just writing a note about it on the back of the bill. Then the hostess came up and asked if there was a complaint? I said yes but I'll just right it down. She said, she was the manager and i can just tell her! I said, thanks I'll just right it down! She left, then came back with a cook from the back. I guess it was suppose to be her intimidater, he came out all hostel. Asking me what I do for a living, I told him a lot of things. He said well, I don't come to your.... Uhmmm.... Do you want me to critique critique you? I said no thanks. I didn't even get to finish my note on the back of the bill, he grabbed it off the table, while I was writing on it! The waitress was nice. Just everything else was horrible. Worst restaurant...
Read moreWe got the potato bacon soup in a cup, with a half a sandwich, it was Turkey tomato and lettuce. The bread was not toasted, the sandwich got mushy immediately and was falling apart. The turkey didn't taste like anything special. We did not like the soup. Too much pepper, it was very dark which you don't expect for potato soup. It said it was served with chips, I expected potato chips, but it was served with these big flat frito-type chips. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. At one point I saw two employees outside, looks like they were helping this guy get a dog into a dog crate inside of a van. Although I thought it was very magnanimous, and I love people that help animals, I wondered if they washed their hands when they came back into the restaurant. I did not finish the soup, and I brought my sandwich home, deconstructed it and threw the mushy bread out, it is some bacon and some lettuce of my own, and grilled the sandwich, so it was pretty good. The price was $14.75 for a cup of soup a half a sandwich and about 10 corn chips. I thought it was a little...
Read moreWe couldn't decide on a breakfast place, and then I read "banana bread french toast," and was immediately sold. The cafe is small, and quiet. A cozy atmosphere for sure. Their coffee was really good. One of my friends got the biscuit and gravy and said it was great. The biscuit was grilled before adding the gravy which made it even better. My other friend and I couldn't decide between one of their sammy's and the aforementioned banana bread french toast. So we each got one and shared! The sammy was a delight! Eggs and spinach cooked together with chunks of delicious ham served on an English muffin with cheese. There was also a tomato jam which we asked for on the side because that's, well, not my jam 😁. My friend said it was good. The banana bread french toast was just as good as I'd hoped, and it had a light yogurt lingonberry drizzle on it which made it pop even more. This place gives you down home comfort food with small twists to elevate the food to a new level of deliciousness....
