Look no further …The Sapphire Motel is a wonderful place to stay! It was centrally located for our needs with easy access to the airport, local attractions, and within walking distance to downtown Bozeman. The Montana Room #54, was spic-and-span clean, comfortable, and quiet. (The room looked as nice as the photos on the motel’s website, and it was so clean, it almost felt like everything in the room was new!) There was also a small gift waiting for us in the room – so thoughtful! This well-maintained property may appear historic and retro, but it is modern throughout. Throughout our stay I interacted frequently with Hanna at the front desk, who was very pleasant and helpful. The lobby refreshment area was very much appreciated. It was convenient to be able to pick up free tea or coffee when desired, and the informal library had a variety of books and games. There were also comfortable tables and chairs in the refreshment area where you could plan your day while relaxing with your coffee or chat with fellow travelers. Each room has a patio that faces the well-kept grounds for additional outdoor relaxation. I look forward to staying at The Sapphire Motel in the future and will recommend it to friends and...
Read moreIt's a motel. The remodel is improvement. However, it still had the feel of a motel. It felt like it was about $50 per night overpriced. It is central to town, good location. Have kids? The central grassy area is nice. Parking lot reasonable. The pic I'm invluding are the sparkle led lights in ceiling at check in. Very cool. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing in next room over. There were just odd things about the room itself carried over from original design. The lipstick couldn't cover. It had a smell after coming back from all day out, but it came out strong only after one night of everyone taking showers. Would I stay there again? No, because of the price. For that price, I'd pay for a newer built location. The novelty is part of the experience, but the price was too much for the value of the novelty. It’s like you go to the annual Fair and know you are going to pay $15 for a funnel cake (not including beverage). It's the experience. For me, a sleepover isn’t supposed to be the experience but rather what you are doing in that town, away from the motel. So why did i pick that place? The way you can access your car right there by your door. Anyone who gets this...
Read moreIf you’re into retro 80s style hotels, this might be right up your alley, from the exterior to the lobby and into the rooms, it all has that vintage vibe. The bed and pillows were fine for a one night stay, and we appreciated the quiet no noise during the night, which was a plus. They do provide earplugs and a white noise machine, though honestly, the AC noise was enough to serve that purpose.
The room was clean, which is always appreciated, and it came with a fridge and microwave. The TV setup is pretty basic not many channels and definitely not a smart TV.
The biggest downside was the AC. It kept shutting off throughout the night, which made it hard to sleep, and since reliable AC is a must for us, that was a dealbreaker. On the bright side, the location is great easy walking distance to downtown with plenty of nearby food and shops.
Just a heads up: make sure you grab extra towels and toilet paper before the front desk closes at 10 PM. They do provide a security number for after hours help.
Would I stay again? If they fix the AC and it runs properly all...
