Do not recommend. Came into town to visit the Museum of the Rockies to celebrate a birthday. After a day at the museum, we looked for a place to eat and ultimately decide to try this place.
We were greeted quickly and showed to a table. We were then handed a menu that had less than 15 total items to choose from.
Three salads, four burgers, a half dozen alcoholic drinks, 5-8 pizzas, and some very random other things.
We noticed the menu did not list several items we saw online prior to coming and several items listed in their Instagram profile.
We flagged down the waitress to ask if that was the entirety of the menu. We were told they only have a limited menu until 5pm and if I knew what I wanted they could see if the chef could make it.
Our family hasn't ever been here how do we have any idea what's on the menu other than a quick social media glance.
No where on the website, Google site, etc does it state they have a limited menu until dinner. If that information had been published we absolutely would have gone elsewhere. We were celebrating a birthday and couldn't even order a dessert for the 5 year old whose birthday it was.
When we travel we try to support local whenever possible.
We did state how disappointing it was that they don't advertise a limited menu. During the meal someone who didn't introduce themselves came by and said they are sorry we were disappointed with the limited happy hourenu, but that's just the way it is in Bozeman.
We aren't local, so how would we know that.
I ended up ordering French fries and cheese fondue off the starters part of the menu. The fondue tasted like the thickening agent used and not like cheese at all. Most expense French fries and ketchup, I will likely ever eat at $11. There were no drunk refills, no one even asked why the fondue wasn't eaten. My plate was removed along with my un-used napkin without so much as a comment
Do not recommend! We will not be back. We do pass through here a couple times a year as part of a regular,...
Read moreI went with my mom and sister for brunch. We were not greeted at the door right away, but we're still seated in a timely manner. The atmosphere and the service was great! However, I ordered the Vegtable scamble and was disappointed. The potatoes were mostly burnt to a crisp, and they took up over half the scramble. Personally I would've liked more eggs and vegetables, and less potatoes for a more balanced meal. I am a huge food lover and rarely ever sent anything back.....I spit my bite into my napkin. All I could taste was burnt. I called over the waiter and asked for soemthing else. I ordered the Montana burger with a side of Avocado. The burger came out perfect, minus the side of avocado. By the time I had finished half my burger and was ready to leave, the side of Avocado came out. At this point, why even bother? I could tell the server was new becauae he kept saying uhm a lot. I can imagine he probably didn't remember to add the Avocado. We also ordered mimosas while we were there, they came in a small or large size. We were not asked which size we wanted but instead we were automaticaply given the larger, more expensive glass. I know as a fellow server that that is a technique used to up the check without the guests knowledge. Fortunately for myself and the other members of my party, I was knowledgeable and told the waiter that he should've asked us which size we wanted and not assumed. I also told him that I would not be paying for a slice of Avocado that came as a desert towards the end of a meal. We also ordered a pizza to go...needless to say, that was burnt too.
All together the food, that wasn't burnt, was delicious. But I can't say I would point someone in that direction if I was asked where to eat in Bozeman.
They need to step up their game if they are going to make it as a 'high scale' gluten free restaurant in...
Read moreI would suggest calling ahead to check reservation waiting times. Over all ambiance is nice, the aesthetics of the restaurant are well thought out and provide that rustic barnyard feel. While the libations were flowing it certainly felt like a revelry. We had the Giardino pasta w/ chicken, pepperoni pizza, and the bison meatloaf. The Bison meatloaf wasn’t dry and it was actually tasty; I would skip the BBQ sauce if I had it next. It comes with carrots and mash which were pretty basic, I feel they could’ve tied the dish together with a red wine reduction or some to elevate the dish. Over all kind of basic, I wouldn’t order it again. The Giardino pasta wasn’t dry actually tasty, the tomatoes really added that extra juicy component (without them the pasta would’ve been dry) I would order it without the chicken next time. Favorite thing about the pasta dish was the mushrooms and tomatoes. The chicken was dry and there wasn’t enough sauce to mask the dryness. The pizza was actually good, crispy, marinera was the perfect amount and the cheese to pepperoni ratio was spot on. I’d maybe come back to check out their happy hour for some burgers and pizzas. I wasn’t too convinced on the other dishes. The service was excellent, waiters and waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Although if you’re waiting for a table don’t go to the bar and try to grab drinks, they made it very clear the bar is only for people who sit and dine in. I found that a bit odd that they wouldn’t want to add to their revenue but to each their own. Over all 3/10 for food on the regular menu, staff and ambiance definitely raised the bar. I would suggest go in and have an experience. The...
