I absolutely love Penelope's shop and I'm embarrassed to share how much time I spend there. But how can I not?! It's incredible and it's a must-visit if you are in Brattleboro!

Her family-run shop is exquisitely curated, has an incredible range of wonderful British & European gifts, food items, home goods, extraordinary jewelry, and Penelope's own fine contemporary glasswares. Her staff are gracious, very helpful (they are so generous with their time!), and I am always cordially welcomed into Penelope's shop. Every time I visit her store, I discover some new British food item, find a beautiful unique antique, or just find that perfect gift card I was looking for. Also, this store has wonderful gifts for men which is so rare to find nowadays - I own far too many of the dress ties she sells.

I made my first purchase with Penelope Wurr during the height of Covid in 2020. I called the shop and had some very special items shipped to me in Nashville. Fast forward a few years and now I travel to Brattleboro several times a year and this shop is my favorite part. This is the most beautifully curated boutique. The price range of items makes it very accessible but also brings treasures I’ve never seen anywhere else. I have purchased several items of block print cotton clothing that are some of my most treasured possessions. I have pottery and mugs from this shop that bring joy daily. I hope Brattleboro continues to support this shop as it should because it’s truly one of a kind. I wish there was more available online to order but I imagine how hard that would be for the owner. This store is therapy. I just go to this store to be surrounded by beautiful quirky, happy things. Penelope's curation of this yummy collection of affordable, classy, unusual gifts and treasures makes me look forward to holiday shopping. I always just end up buying stuff for me!
