Experience with Copper Springs Lodge 430 and Vacasa home
Property is good. I like everything about the home and the place , except the bench by the door, hit my legs many times.
The bad experience
keys in different building very confusing, many new lock like Yale would be much more convenient and people would not be extra charge for lost keys
I like everything about the property except management company. We had horrible experience. We forgot our backpack with : laptop, all the documents, all the hard drives, all keys, passports and so on. We checked out at 10 am and realized we forgot everything in 11 am. We called to Vacasa home, told them and went to finish some things. When we drove back two hours later we found out our backpack is moving. Manager told us NO UPDATES! I told them that i see my laptop in find my phone, and calling the police ( i did and they were super helpful) . Vacasa manager told us she can’t do anything as she can’t contact the property management and no idea what is happening. Hours later and lots of pressure they were able to give us an address to housekeeper company and we finally got backpack back. The housekeeper went through all the stuff!!!!! They opened backpack, they touch all the personal things including medical records, they opened my wallet and so on. This is was the worst experience as we need to threaten them to get our stuff back, as all my stuff was went through. As Vacasa has no idea how to help us , and so on. Not to mention that i need to drive to California and it took hours to get my backpack as no one is on location! I am sure if it was not for my find my friends i would never get back my belongings. Not to mention that you do lot have rights go through all...
The lodge is great for ski-in and -out, but not for beginners. It sits inside the east village, next to the Super Bee lift, with very short walking distance. However, this lift leads to various hard trails up there. So beginners usually have to take the bus to go to central/west village to start. Rental and restaurants are also nearby, it's very convenient. The lodge itself is very good with lots of facilities, and it's fun to stay here. But it only allows one car in the garage, extra car has to go to the Alpine parking lot which is far, although the bus is available and convenient. Overall it's a good place to stay for ski, but not good for beginners due to...
Read moreMy family and I really loved this resort, it was big and had lots of mixed options for different ski levels. We liked that they had both blues and greens on one lift so different skill levels could still ski together and meet up at the bottom easily. Also such a beautiful place and pretty organized as far as lines for the lifts go. They also had a lot of food options on the mountain. Some of the signage was a little confusing but they always had maps. Some runs marked as blues were definitely not blues so make sure to check if you can do it at the top of a run and that you can get to another run if you don't think...
