It's the place for freestyle 100% tops. Beats out Park City and Steamboat.
From the moment we arrived at Copper Mountain Resort, we were swept away by the breathtaking scenery and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. This was our family's first visit, and it certainly won't be our last.
The resort offers a wide range of slopes catering to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned experts. The ski lifts are well-maintained and efficient, ensuring minimal wait times even during peak hours. The trails are meticulously groomed, providing perfect conditions for skiing and snowboarding. Our kids particularly enjoyed the beginner slopes and the ski school, where experienced instructors made learning both fun and safe.
Copper Mountain is not just about the skiing and snowboarding. The village at the base of the mountain is charming, with a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes that cater to all tastes and budgets. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the après-ski spots, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes.
The accommodations at Copper Mountain are top-notch, with options ranging from budget-friendly to luxury. Our condo was spacious, clean, and offered stunning views of the mountains. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us the option to dine in on nights we preferred a quiet evening.
What sets Copper Mountain Resort apart, though, is the exceptional customer service. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Their recommendations for dining and activities were spot-on, adding a personal touch to our experience.
For those looking for adventure beyond skiing, the resort offers snowshoeing, tubing, and even a thrilling alpine coaster. Despite our short stay, we were able to try a bit of everything, making our trip both exciting and relaxing.
In conclusion, Copper Mountain Resort is a true gem in the heart of Colorado. Its breathtaking landscapes, wide range of activities, and outstanding hospitality make it the perfect destination for a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a solo adventure. We are already planning our return trip next year and can't wait to create more unforgettable memories at...
Read moreWho we are: complete novices. I have an entourage of 3 kids and a husband, all of whom have never skied before. I settled on Copper Mountain because it still had lessons opened when I booked a week in advance and the all day family lesson was within the price range of the other near by resorts. Once we arrived it was pretty clear I had signed my kids up for more than they could handle, but I'm not ready to give up yet! We will chip away at this like we did learning to ride a bike. In hindsight, maybe I would have tried the Frisco Adventure Park for their first ski experience. I haven't been there before, but it seems like it would be less intimidating?
Restaurants: more available than Breckenridge and Keystone River Run Village (at least when we were there the last 4 days). On Sunday around 3pm and Monday at 12pm, Sawmill Pizza & Taphouse had indoor seating available with a 25-30 minute wait. There were a lot of carry-out options for real meals. We literally could not find anyplace in Breckenridge and Keystone River Run Village that didn't require a 1.5 hour wait. Everything was reserved out. All we could find at Breckenridge Village and Keystone River Run were desserts- crêpes and waffles for carry-out.
Customer service (when they actually answer the phone): great. When I called to get a refund on the regular ski lifts we never used during our lesson, they down-graded us to the GREEN ACRES BEGINNER AREA LIFT TICKET, which was a refund of $150 for a family of 5. No problems.
Parking: terrible. The lesson came with parking, but no one answered my email or answered the phone when I needed help with that a couple of days before our trip. We were worried about the 20-25 minute drive in snowy conditions, so we parked at the Frisco Transit Center and took the free Summit Stage bus to Copper Mountain. As an adult, the bus is perfect. However, I wouldn't do that again with kids, especially since we rented our equipment off-site the night before to save $$$. I'd either spend an arm and a leg for convenience or we will ski at the nearest ski place we...
Read moreMy recent trip to Copper Mountain in Colorado was nothing short of spectacular! Today's weather was absolutely delightful, with the sun shining brightly and the temperature hovering around a perfect 25°F. As a first-time skier and snowboarder, I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the sport.
Copper Mountain's infrastructure is truly impressive. The slopes are expertly maintained, providing smooth and exhilarating rides for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The layout of the resort is intuitive, making it easy to navigate from one area to another. Additionally, the variety of terrain available ensures that there's something for everyone, whether you're a beginner like me or a seasoned pro.
What truly sets Copper Mountain apart, though, is its exceptional staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The instructors were patient and knowledgeable, guiding me through the basics with skill and encouragement. Even the lift operators and cafeteria staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Their genuine hospitality made my experience truly unforgettable.
Overall, my time at Copper Mountain exceeded all expectations. It's the perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy a day on the slopes, whether you're a newbie or a seasoned veteran. I can't wait to return and continue exploring everything this incredible resort...
