Just went skiing at copper mountain. I I have lived in Colorado for 19 years and I have skied all of those years but in order to avoid crazy I-70 traffic I usually went to the same ski resort. But this year I brought the IKON pass so I am revisiting all the ski resorts that I hadn't been to in years. I was so impressed with Copper mountain. Easy free parking in the Alpine lot. Shuttles run all day continuously from East, Central and west bases back and forth to parking lot. There were so many helpful guides posted on the mountain in various locations to answer questions but the most impressive thing was that we got in line to get on the chair lift and my daughter's ikon pass wasn't working. A very helpful lifty named Ryan told us "you guys go ski a run and I will get her pass working." Amazing...
Read moreNice resort, got a load of powder the day we got there. Facing the mountain to the left east is more difficult. As you head to the center and west it gets easier. Shuttle bus takes you between ski areas. Signage could be better on the hills. A lot of the time you see a sign to a run and you go that way then there's 3 options and you have no clue which one is the run you want or the next sign is when it's too late. Loved the alpine coaster and ice rink! Roaring hot campfires around the village center and mini donuts were super nice after a day of skiing.
