Greeted when you walk in and offered a basket, she was really nice, as was all the staff I interacted with :) but I went to just check out the store, not stocked well in terms of candy/drinks, the one drink I did see that I wanted only had damaged cans (Kona Coffee). There was a kid running around the store & in between people in the aisles, granted the staff can't do much about neglectful parents but what an annoying shopping experience to begin with :(. I did find that they had a bit of small camping stuff so I got a micro stove, it wasn't packaged the best but I wasn't worried until I got home and opened it, quite a bit of rust on the inside & one of the side doors doesn't latch right. Everything else I bought, camping wise, seems to be fine (the collapsible cups/utensils are really neat) but this is something I'd definitely not get again nor would I recommend getting unless you want to deal with that! (There are no returns/refunds! plus I don't even live in STL so I'm not driving all the way back for that!) Read moreThe store was tidy, and most things were well stocked (the food shelves were petty bare but keep in mind this store just opened). It was pretty busy but the kind of crowd this place attracted was patient and polite. The cashier was super nice!
I definitely saw some unexpected things, like gardening pots and stakes. I was expecting more anime stuff, a lot of the stuff was Disney branded which was kind of disappointing.

Read moreThe vibe inside the store for the grand opening was really exciting and happy and brought in a ton of people from all walks of life including a lot of Japanese speakers. The manager was very nice and greeted everyone and the employees were friendly. The Hello Kitty and Sanrio merch is the second aisle from the front, right behind the self checkouts, and I had to restrain myself from buying everything.
