I had a traumatic experience from this store about 1-2 years ago. I am able to write about it now. I have boycott all ulta stores due to this experience because it left a very bad memory. I had a $30 gift card charged on my credit card which I never bought. I found out about this charge error after I got home and checked my receipt. So I returned the next day and asked for a correction. They told me that they do not refund gift card and asked me to call customer service. I told them I did not buy the gift card and I don't have the gift card so I want my money back. Why should I call customer service when they have a brick and mortar store to settle this issue. Why should I stay on a call when their employee was the one who made the mistake? I felt that they were treating me unfairly like as if I tried to scam them for $30. I told my husband I didn't care about the $30 anymore and I didn't want to return to the store for the third time or call customer service to deal with this issue. My husband went in the store and demanded that they review their surveillance video to prove that I did not buy the gift card because at this point it wasn't about the money, it was about our principle. The video showed I did not buy the gift card and they returned my money. Finally! After all the drama and driving back and forth. They didn't tell me exactly what happened. Here's my advice, remember to check your receipt before you leave the store. It was my fault to trust the store. Nevertheless, the hassle that I had to went through to get my $30 back was a painful experience. The store supervisor apologized to me and promised to send me a gift coupon but I never received it. I would never go to any ulta store or online and spend thousands of dollars there anymore. Goodbye Ulta and hello Sephora. I would give Ulta a zero star if there is an option.
One more advice to Ulta if the HQ customer service department is reading this review, please train your store supervisors properly on how to handle customer service issues fairly and efficiently. I should not have to beg for my $30 back and my husband shouldn't have to demand you to review the...
Read moreI have visited this particular Ulta several times, simply because the location is convenient. But the customer service is just terrible. About a month ago, I visited the store to pick up an online order. When I entered, and walked up to the online order pickup counter, all the employees working at the main counter (3) just turned and looked at me (almost in sync) and then looked away. I received zero greeting. Finally after about 3 mins, someone finally came to help me. He didn't give me a "hello," "How's it goin?," nothing. He just said "You're here to pick-up an online order?" which was quite obvious as I was standing at the pick-up counter. After I politely answered "yes," he says "I need to see your ID" in the driest tone ever. If I didn't have to pick up a package, I would've walked out because I was so disturbed.
During a more recent visit, when I walked through the entrance I did receive a really nice greeting from an employee that I hadn't seen before. So I was really pleased by this. But as I looked through the store, for almost 30 minutes, I wasn't helped at all. When I was finally ready to check out, the young woman at the counter didn't even really call me up to her register (which was a good 10 feet away from me). She made eye contact with me as I was still in line and basically yelled "your phone number?" Keep in mind, the woman she checked out right before received a "Have a nice day!" So I walk up to the counter, said "Hello" and typed in my phone number. She said absolutely nothing to me during the entire transaction. She finally bagged my one product, sat the bag on the counter in front of me, and proceeded to have a conversation with another employee. She didn't give me a "See ya," "Have a nice day," nothing. She didn't even hand me my bag. Although I wanted to be really upset at this point, I was just disappointed more than anything.
I gave two stars instead of one because of the ONE kind lady that greeted me and because I love Ulta as a store. But I will definitely not be returning to this location anytime...
Read moreSo normally I rant and rave about this location until last night I ran in around 7:46 to grab my Pattern Beauty Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. Unlike other times when I browse through the store to discover new products this time I was literally planning to be in and out. As I walk to the back towards the hair section passing by 3 Ulta workers I was approached in the back by the rudest worker I’ve ever experienced at this store (which is not normal at all for this location). I was reading the directions for the Pattern curl cream and a Ulta employee a taller white women who was giving management vibes from her tone, but honestly, honestly, I’ve never seen her before so I cannot tell you. She tells me ma’am we’re closing I turn around and say OK as I was planning to read faster so I can make a decision to purchase my product, two seconds later she tells me again ma’am we closing like now and so I looked at the time it was exactly 7:48 PM and I was like do you close at eight or something because your Google says you close at 10 and I didn’t see a closing early sign on the door mind you I walked past three employees and never once said hey we’re closing early Due to short staffing, due to electrical issues or whatever the issue maybe. So I asked her so I don’t have time to buy my items as I look at people upfront purchasing and still shopping around the store. She goes to tell me now quietly and tell her that’s fine. One thing I will say is I will never ever purchase from this location again because it’s a regular customer, I feel very disrespected to be honest so much to the point where I don’t even want to support Ulta in general anymore. Also this doesn’t apply to the other employees of this location just one. So thank you to the other ladies who always help guide me through all of my purchases...
