VERY BAD SERVICE! The Geek Squad does not care about it's customers! I was given the run around by a tech who came to my home to service my TV.
He said he would order the part needed for the TV and would have it sent to my home.We set up an appointment for a week later and I was to call him when the part arrived. One week later the part hadn't come and the day before the appointment I tried calling him. It took me 3 hours and several phone calls to Geek Squad Corporate who tried to locate him and when I finally spoke to him, he didn't remember the appointment or anything about the repair because he didn't have his computer with him! A Geek Squad tech without his computer? Long story short, it took 5 hours of phone calls before I was told that the part is no longer made and the TV would need to be exchanged. He NEVER called to inform of this and said he would call me back with the exchange information and he NEVER did! I called Geek Squad Corp. again and was given the run around yet again and the phone rep even hung up on me! All this the day before our second appointment!
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. BE WARNED if you decide to use the Geek Squad for service. They are unreliable and inept!
Their techs don't return phone calls,they rush you off the phone and won't answer questions and follow up with repairs. HORRIBLE customer service and very false advertising!...
Read moreWaited over two weeks for an appointment. Spent 45 minutes with the authorized apple repair geek squad, two of them. Apparently, all they do is go into the back and plug in. The first returned a after 10 minutes, told me it would be a few more minutes. He was having difficulty reading the ipad. Another 10 minutes and he can back out and said I should go home and call apple because he couldn't do anything. He blamed apple.
I pointed out that geek squad was apple authorized and he shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. Clearly, my expression convinced him to try something else and he said "let me try something" and disappeared I to the back room again.
The second geek squad member emerged 10 minutes later. He quickly decided to try "something else" after a brief interaction.
After 10 minutes he re-emerged. Told me there was nothing he could do and told me to contact apple.
Save yourselves the trip and contact apple because the geek squad is useless. The use the term geek and you think they're smart..... NOPE- dumb as a box of rocks! Honestly some of the stupidest people I've ever encountered! 't reading old told me I should go home and call apple! They had nothing. I pay for protection on my device. Read moreGEEK SQUAD is a waste of money! I recently bought an ASUS AIO. I have n complaints about the service from the BEST BUY sales people - they were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My issue is with the GEEK SQUAD. I paid extra for a year of coverage from them and they are completely useless. They either cant help you over the chat and their go- to answer is "we don't cover that" or "You'll need to bring the computer in to the store." While ASUS support will help and fix any problems. So, in other words, I threw away 200 bucks on the useless GEEK SQUAD when ASUS is ten times better and it's free...
