Buyer Beware !!! Bait and switch Previously left a stellar review as the customer service was very friendly but that all changed when I actually got my bill.... I am now stuck in a never ending circle of frustration with no one ever getting back to me. This is the email I had to send to the Verizon corporate office . It explains the situation perfectly .BEWARE!
After being a loyal AT&T customer for 17 years, I made the difficult decision to switch to Verizon based on a quote provided by one of your authorized retail stores. I was assured that my new monthly bill would be approximately $300, which was $100 less than I had been paying with AT&T. This estimate was a key factor in my decision to switch, which cost me approximately $1,200 in early termination fees and equipment costs.
However, upon receiving my first Verizon bill, I was shocked to discover that the total is actually $420. $20 more than what I had been paying with AT&T — a complete reversal of the value I was promised.
Since then, I’ve attempted to resolve the issue through every official channel available:
I have called the original store multiple times. My calls are no longer returned. I have contacted Verizon customer service, where representatives have attempted to mediate by scheduling meetings with the store — meetings that never happen. I have spent over a month being redirected from one department to another without resolution, acknowledgement, or accountability.
This experience has left me disillusioned, frustrated, and feeling misled. I believed Verizon to be a company that values its customers and stands behind its word, but this bait-and-switch behavior and complete lack of follow-through suggests otherwise.
At this point, I am requesting that Verizon:
Honor the original quoted monthly price of $300. Assign a dedicated case manager from the Executive Relations team to resolve this issue promptly. Provide a written explanation of how this situation will be addressed going forward.
I sincerely hope Verizon is willing to uphold the integrity I expected when I made the switch. Please let me know how and when this will be resolved. I would appreciate a response within 3 business days before considering further steps, including a complaint to the FCC or relevant consumer protection agencies.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Read moreI went in for technical assistance, but instead of troubleshooting my issue, the rep took a five-second look at my settings and immediately tried to push a new plan. I did not go there to be sold on services I didn’t ask for.
When she reviewed my plan, she didn’t clearly explain anything,,just scrolled through a list of numbers at lightning speed. It was impossible to follow. The “explanation” was basically: This is what you have, this is what you need, here’s what you’ll pay more, we’ll take $5 off here but somehow save you a million there. It felt like an obvious attempt to push me off a decent existing plan into something worse.
To make matters worse, she gave me false information about their “unlimited nationwide and worldwide” plan. I specifically asked if it worked in sanctioned countries like Russia, and she said yes. According to Verizon’s own terms of service, sanctioned countries are not covered. Misleading customers just to make a sale is unacceptable.
The one bit of good news,, another rep overheard my situation and stepped in. He offered genuine customer service and gave me the Assurance phone number I needed. I truly...
