Club Pilates Bridgewater is by far the WORST place I’ve ever practiced. While some of their positive reviews may be from genuine members, management at this club is a hit or miss. I was a member for over a year and cancelled because the good instructors left, the front desk was rude, and management was unprofessional. When I rejoined in August, (over a year later) hoping to see new faces but nothing had improved.
I paid $314 for a month I couldn’t use (which was noted when I signed up), but the manager, refused to credit or adjust my account. Instead, she sent dismissive emails, admitted she had the power to fix it, and simply chose not to. Their policies are applied arbitrarily: some members get flexibility, others (like me) get stonewalled. As a hispanic, I couldn’t ignore the difference in how I was treated compared to other members.
On top of that, their waitlist and cancellation system is poorly managed: empty reformers while people sit on waitlists, strict cancellation fees ($15–25), and unrealistic 2-hour notice when you get off the waitlist. It feels more like a money trap than a wellness studio.
Worst of all, there’s no accountability. The manager hides behind “policy,” and the owner refuses to be contacted. When I asked the manager to speak to the owner about this, her response was that the owner instructed her to not share her contact info. That is certainly not how a professional business should operate.
I think it’s admirable to trust an employee enough to let them handle your business blindly with zero supervision but if my person in charge had this level of unprofessionalism and lack of integrity, I would probably want to get more involved before I keep losing members. At the end of the day my clients are the ones keeping me in business.
If you expect professionalism, fairness, and respect,...
Read moreI’m shocked there aren’t more reviews about the class size and waitlist issues (see attached photo for example of my life every week with this studio). I LOVE this studio and the instructors are wonderful, but it’s hard to remain a member when you can’t get into class. The waitlists are long and the only ones that move are the weekends. It’s extremely frustrating and for the monthly price, you can’t even get what you pay for because the classes are always full. I have nothing but positive things to say about this studio other than the fact that they have too many members and insane waitlists - unfortunately I’m giving only 3 stars because working out shouldn’t be hectic simply hoping I’ll get into class one day. If you have a flexible lifestyle and go with the unlimited classes then it’s probably not as much of an issue… but for me, a full time working mom only able to do the 8 classes per month, it’s not feasible and not a good option. If one day this magically changes, then I’ll return to the studio… until then, I’m looking for...
