Okay...I bit the bullet...I finally made my first visit, and I have a lot to say.
Pros: I'm self taught in graphic design and am working on my UX Design certification. The atmosphere is top tier. They show a very clear identity that uses modern and expressive advertising while opening a small space, showing the actual mixers and baking space. The ordering system is quick and easy! Massive respect to their advertising/branding team; the space in person and in socials. I'm eating my cookie in the car while calling my family to catch up, and an hour in people were crowding the store for bulk orders, and eating outside with their small group of friends. EVERYONE was there, it was like Rita's opening on the first day of spring!
Cons: I support a local spot that pays attention to the quality of their cookies. And I bake, a ton, so I knew which ingredients were being used. So I had high expectations. Hell, any time I visit town for the weekend, they're the first place I'd stop at. Crumbl though... it was just...bland and doughy. The butter and flour just...exist, as their own self, not to add more to the overall cookie. Taste is average...FOR $5.
Tldr; self taught graphic designer and baking enthusiast respects Crumbl's advertising/branding, but isn't a fan of the taste and price for a...
Read moreOriginally before my experience in the store I had nothing but great things to say about crumbl, but that was short lived. I called in advance to request a speciality order for a promposal I was doing and was very enthusiastic that a manager named Bryan would help me out with this. (He was extremely friendly, helpful and professional) I called twice the following day to confirm that my order would be ready for pick up but unfortunately when I arrived at the store to pick up my cookies initially no one had a clue what I was talking about, and long story short they weren’t made, let alone ready for pick up. So what happened was my order got rushed through and ended up being done very sloppy, not being appealing to the eye or done how I’d imagine they would have been if properly prepared in advance. (If I owned a cookie store I wouldn’t have let cookies go out the door the way these looked) What could have been a great experience, turned out to be very disappointing quick. Two stars though because staff was friendly and accommodating through...
Read moreI’m appalled by what i witnessed when i walked into this establishment. I came with my family on Thursday and I was greeted by a cheerful girl at the front. While waiting for my order, just by looking around, majority of the staff was on their phones lazing around doing nothing. To make matters worse, one of the employees was yelling over his phone and saying such unpleasant comments to what I can only assume was a woman on the other end. My wife and my kids were uncomfortable by the scenery and I honestly can’t blame them. Almost everyone looked miserable and I can’t even imagine how they’re still in business with employees that are either glued to their phones or having social hour with the others. When given my cookies, I asked the girl who were the managers on shift and to my surprise, half of the employees “working” were the poorly trained managers. She ended up giving my kids some stickers and a coloring book and apologized to us about our experience. Won’t...
